The old "Make America Great Britain Again" schtick...
Cal's thread should be published in the national media, a completely rigged review that will achieve their aim of blocking all treatment for trans kids. The complete control anti-trans activists have in the NHS should be a national disgrace, it's akin to anti-vaxxers seizing control of vaccinations
There isn't actually any absence of evidence. There is tons of evidence showing treatment is beneficial. But the NHS has decided to ask questions that the studies weren't set up to specifically ask. They didn't need to do that, so the question arises, just who is pulling the strings?
This excellent piece describes the crap that's going on within NHS England in their policy-based evidence-making, asking questions that studies were not set up to answer, then concluding that the absence of evidence means evidence of harm. The damage they're doing to people's lives is immense.

The reviews used to justify this excluded nearly 97% of all studies from inclusion in their analysis. This is an absolutely obscene hatchet job by the NHS specifically created to eliminate access to hormones for trans youth.
This NHS policy-based evidence-making is becoming more and more transparently corrupt.
The 2026 Headline of the Year contest is heating up
A useful analysis, deconstructing much of the nonsense that has gone on since last April.
They are not 'transphobic', we are told. They don't hate trans people.
They simply feel deeply 'concerned' about children being 'trans', & therefore, need to put 'sensible' people in charge of trans children's healthcare, people who, for example, don't believe in the existence of trans children.
Medical transition for trans kids is now banned for new referrals on the NHS. Trans kids in the UK can still go private or DIY (for now).
This means the new clinics that replaced GIDS are close to useless at best, conversion therapy at worst. 1/5
If it becomes difficult if not impossible to get medication on the NHS, it doesnβt stop trans people being trans. It just means they will find other ways of acquiring it. The reason we fought for transition-related healthcare on the NHS was safety. Government including Starmer knows this.
Text reads: Our struggle is a shared struggle. Image shows a diverse group of women facing each other.
Happy International Womenβs Day! Today we celebrate ALL women. Solidarity is crucial in the struggle against patriarchy. Whether weβre cis or trans we share that struggle.
This yearβs theme is βGive To Gainβ emphasizing the power of reciprocity and support.

Trump has threatened our allies, eyed up Greenland and is now criticising Britain over a war he started.
We shouldnβt reward his bad behaviour with a state visit.

The King is supposed to be visiting the USA *next month*. This is the definition of a diplomatic nightmare. In all seriousness, I would urge him to pull a sickie.
This is a feeble excuse. Pixar films prompt much harder conversations about death, grief, anxiety, environmental disaster, betrayal, jealousy, friendships, class, animal rights, etc, etc
Indeed. We'll see in the summer if the next one feels the same.
Sandi Toksvig sparingly, stunningly, and entirely expectedly on point, here.
Happy international women's day.
Well, you're now seeing women having to pay almost Β£200 for a flawed test to be allowed to compete in international competitions, women being challenged because they don't look/sound right, women's groups being closed ... Those who brought it think that's a small price to pay for removing trans folk
But worse, they simply aren't listening. They prefer to rely on their flawed "studies" and media reports rather than listen to actual experts, those with lived experience, and act appropriately to the evidence which is out there.
So i would add criminally anti-trans. The damage done is enormous.
So actively anti-trans? Absolutely. What have they done which is pro-trans?
Aggressively anti-trans? Very probably. They didn't need to do any of this, but decided to pursue an extreme agenda now being condemned by international human rights bodies.
The government have been told this time and time again, but have done nothing but issue platitudes. There is no dignity or respect in being forced out of appropriate spaces. They commissioned a report to minimise the number of official suicides - the wheels have come off that too.
Now, he's supposed to be a clever man, but i can't see a way to square that particular circle.
As TransActual published on Tuesday, the effects on trans people - our mental and physical health, our ability to contribute to society - have been devastating.
When i met the PM in January, i quickly ran through healthcare, media and access to public spaces. His response was that he thought we should be able to make the Supreme Court ruling work in an inclusive way. By is very nature, it's exclusive, brought by groups who want to exclude trans people.
The UK has now been condemned by the European Commissioner on Human Rights, and then again last week by a bunch of UN special experts. Silence from the government.
So it's not surprising that, according to YouGov, a quarter of adult trans people now want to leave the country.
And then you have the Supreme Court ruling, bringing so much "clarity" that all trans people now feel insecure and afraid of having to use gendered spaces. The rules keep shifting. One week you're allowed in one space if you work there, but not if you're a customer. The next week it reverses.
The idea of medical rights, such as Fraser competence and privacy, simply ignored.
The persecution continues in schools, worse than section 28. It's not that you can't discuss trans in schools, you shouldn't even be trans. So what happens for the greater number of kids with trans parents?
In every area where it counts, Labour have overseen a massive regression.
They've used a flawed and heavily critiqued report, which places anecdote over scientific evidence, to effectively remove healthcare for the hundreds of trans children we have. Healthcare for trans adults is decaying.
Former Chief Medical Officer calls out Streetingβs highly politicised βtrialβ of puberty blockers. Meanwhile @goodlawproject.org have uncovered a spike in trans youth ending their own lives because they canβt access appropriate care. This is a national scandal.
I lack the words to capture it, but ... it's just endlessly remarkable to me that so many people in our society have chosen trans kis -- TRANS KIDS, the smallest, least significant, most vulnerable demographic slice you could possibly pick -- as a repository for all their fears & insecurities.
