A black and white photograph of British army vehicles and men. The vehicles have been equipped with pintle mounted machine guns. The trucks are laden with supplies.
Sometimes weβre just called to contemplate the Long Range Desert Group.

A image of artwork from the 1920βs. The artist documented and celebrated the Flapper culture in America during that decade. The image shows 2 young men and a young woman playing an impromptu game of craps. The woman is on one knee and is throwing the dice. There is the money bet on the ground. One of the men is also betting, but the other is merely observing. The title of the piece is βThe Faded Blondeβ. The word faded in this context is a play on the slang term for the craps bet.
I love the art of John Held Jr.
An image of a cow labeled βCowβ on the left and an image of an American Bison labeled βHigh Capacity Assault Cowβ on the right.
It is always wise to keep the difference in mind.
A couple stand in front of a Sequoia tree with a 40 foot diameter.
One of the benefits of living in Californiaβs Central Valley is that the Sequoia groves are only an hour away.
A tan dog lays on top of an unfolded paper map. She looks at the camera with pleading eyes.
Someone obviously wants to follow a long and winding road .
In approximately 6 hours according to Watch Duty.
Arrrghhh. I just spotted the typo. Straits, not Straights.
In 2012 I toured the Russian cruiser Aurora. She is a now a museum ship in St Petersburg. For some reason the tour guide didnβt want to talk about her role at Tsushima Straights. In fact he started walking away from me when I asked about it.

The Old Citadel, Corfu. Thanks to @kejamieson.bsky.social who taught me gunnery is funnery.
Thank you. Yes, the cancer was confined to 1 kidney. So now Iβm missing a kidney but am cancer free, at least according to my latest CT scan.
Iβm giving Blue Sky another chance. I left 11 months ago after announcing my cancer diagnosis both here and on Threads. There I had a couple of hundred people, mostly strangers, wishing me well, offering advice and support, and commiserating with me. Here? Crickets.
This time, weβll see.
Have you tried βMarching Through Georgiaβ? Thatβs my favorite from that era.
My all time favorite Doctor was the 10th, David Tennant.
Mine was not so highbrow. My kids were sung to sleep with Jan & Deans βLittle Old Lady From Pasadenaβ and The Boxtops βThe Letterβ.
Yes the mass is malignant. I will have the kidney removed on 1/29/24. With 1 kidney I need to take care of it so that I donβt need dialysis later in life.
Ospreys know things
It wouldnβt have taken a week for the police to find the van if it had happened in the US. Recovering the evidence from the police might have been a problem though.
I somehow see this parading through Rio. A Carnival Chicken if you will.
I guess you had to be in an American Baptist congregation as I was in the 70s. They were pretty proud of their role in the schism. They kept the name and the splinter churches took the name Southern Baptist.
N95 masks were needed long before Covid if you live somewhere with large amounts of wildfire smoke. I started using them in 2015 during the wildfires in our area.
Towers that supported the famous Bridge at Remagen. West bank of the Rhine River.
Hard to see towers that supported the Bridge at Remagen on the east bank of the Rhine River.
If you see this, post a bridge.
How about the ruins of a bridge? The first picture is of the supporting towers of the west side of the bridge at Remagen. The second picture is of the supporting towers on the east side of the bridge.
USS Saratoga minus the black stripe on the funnel. The stripe was removed after the Lexington was sunk in May 1942 and they no longer needed to differentiate between the two ships .
USS Saratoga. But you say where is the big black stripe on the funnel? They painted over the stripe after the Lexington was sunk and they didnβt need to differentiate between them anymore.
2 weeks ago I had a CT scan. They found a mass in my right kidney. I have a 2nd appt with a urologist tomorrow, an ultrasound and labs on Friday, & a biopsy on Monday. I should know by the 15th if itβs malignant. And I have a cold. I tested for Covid and am negative. Just a head cold. Bleh
Iβve administered software like this. You might investigate suppressing the automated emails for reviewerβs account creation.
Ah yes, nothing like going to Disney when you have adult money.
I thought the horse was the star of the ad.
Just means youβll have to invent telepathic typing.
