If that’s Tikal on the cover, truly an amazing place to see in person and I’d beg anyone to go if they can! The stairs are alarmingly steep so don’t fall down. (Plus I think they filmed parts of the Yavin IV jungle scenes in Star Wars from at the top of that pyramid).

Went to Lego’s Brickfest in Columbus over the weekend and had a good time, but there were too many people and it seemed less about cool displays and builds and more about selling. Still, the Charmander display that evolved when you walked past it was a neat illusion! #Lego #Pokemon

The writing really is something else! If I remember, the first third of the book is setting the stage with the characters and then the rest is best described as the mental deterioration of a character as they are wandering around immediate post-war Germany. Hope that isn’t too spoiler-y.
Start to finish that was a wild (and challenging) one but well worth it. Felt like it expanded the brain. Good to see others reading it!

Haven’t been able to watch sports since COVID - something about empty arenas killed my enthusiasm for hockey and it hasn’t returned. Normally I would have watched the gold medal game but I spent some time organizing my hockey cards from my childhood instead. Good job USA, and good game Canada, too.
It’s a personal favorite it I also haven’t played anything after it…hope you like the setting and characters as much as I did!
Those original artworks are always kinda special, given how long the series has been with us and how much polish it receives now. Always like seeing ‘em.

Have that on my shelf and it’s a really good read - totally worth it. Earthbound’s localization was leaps and bounds above other games at the time like the Breath of Fire series on the SNES. The other Fangamer localization books (Legend of Zelda, Undertale) are just as good!

Agreed. Personally, the only times I throw my title down is when someone is so far out of their element on statistics or psychology. If it’s to insist on their power structure, no that’s not acceptable. If it’s to insist on their expertise, that is generally okay.
