Enjoyed appearing on @wgntv.comβs The Point with @tahmanbradley.bsky.social to talk Ad Wars.
The ad works. It immediately grabs scrolling attention and holds it to see how many people say it, including the Ron Kittle South Side doppelgΓ€nger- *and* a viewerβs first instinct is to share it.
Early voting starts today, and Ron Holmes and I are Jon Snow: we know nothing. Yet, strangely, that doesnβt prevent us from talking about it. Pure inside baseball on this one, with some inflation, Springfield and .. awkward Church trash talk mixed in. open.spotify.com/episode/4ne8...
Phew. When, in the history of human events, has βIβm sure itβll be fine,β not worked out?
If Bruce cooks up an anthem, this thing is over.
Incredibly excited the Stateβs Attorneys Association played a role in passing this important legislation. Congrats to all involved.
Seeing a lot of out-of-town takes on Illinois and congressional maps that demonstrate a net negative understanding of parochial politics here.

Also some shout outs. @johnamdor.bsky.social for spotting the episode getting posted and @senatorcelina.bsky.social for the inspiration.
*editorβs note: the Platner news post production is disappointing. Either he sinks or swims, soon enough. But I stand by my belief he is/was an effective communicator for the Party, for this moment.

Thanks to everyone who supported the OG HAVWW. They were clearly vanity projects π that somehow people actually listened to. We will try to keep this one going, I promise.
Why release a podcast about ancient history, you ask? Well, theyβre really insightful, smart guys and sometimes one year & six month look backs are worth it.
The second half is Ron Holmes, where talked after the election. A little more βwhere did the party go wrongβ talk, which may be a little more timely even now.
I hope to release the second halves of both conversations in the coming weeks, along with a Nick Smith cameo.
Despite the stunning lack of continuity on my part, we did record last year. Part 1 is in the first episode with former seat mate Christian Mitchell and it turned out to be quite the time capsule.
Introducing the new podcast, same as the old but with a different name. HAVWW will stay on all the platforms, but we (I) lost access to the subscription last year. Also, it turns out @ilhousegop also has a podcast called βHave All Voted Who Wishβ and there can be only one. π
Do you ever find yourself saying βthere just arenβt enough political podcasts about what happened in 2024?β Well, do I have news for you. open.spotify.com/show/42jiPX9...

Great @politico.com photo of Carter in their obit.

Governor Pritzker holds up a Ferrara product, Nerds Gummy Clusters, and the intoxicating hemp version Nerdy Bears.
Intoxicating hemp products are ripping off brands and marketing toward children.
Each day these products are on our shelves unregulated, we risk the health of another Illinoisan.
That's why I'm calling for the Illinois House to take up HB 4293.
And some are left to wonder why Norms were such a guiding principle. /#
But that the President doing the pardoning exited the race in a fashion that lead to his VP having to play from behind, leading her to let threat to democracy arguments play an outsized role > defining herself through an economic message. /2
I think rational people can hold two thoughts simultaneously: the pardon, viewed through the prism of a father and President was justifiable given that the prosecution only happened after a series of political events. /1
All bets really are off these days.
