Oh I was the king of writing an essay the day it was due. My wife is the same way (we are both professional writers). As for a schedule, I've tried it before and I could never keep it. I might try actually posting it, that might help me stick to it.
As for content creation for me the hardest thing is pushing the Go button. I think it's similar to RPGs where maybe I just have a really hard time committing the time for it. I'm always happy I did hit Go, but it stops me more often than not. Hard to be consistent with the ADHD.
If it is a platformer game I can hyperfocus on it until I beat it. But as much as I love RPGs I could never beat any of them. I've played almost all Final Fantasy games but never have I ever beaten one. Hell, I can't even think of an RPG I've beaten. I still have a goal to beat FF6 one day.
