GENIUS MARVEL! Appearing ongoing in the MAGICAL MYSTERIES OF SHAZAM on @dc.com GO!
Oh yeah, that too
Next up is The 08th MS Team, then probably Endless Waltz
Six series deep into Gundam (Original, Zeta/ZZ, Iron-Blooded Orphans, Witch from Mercury, GQuuuuuuX, and Gundam Wing) and what I'm learning is this: most Gundam is basically good, but it's only GREAT once it gets into the back half and the show's like "you guys mind if I light up"
Ha!
The Monster of Blackenstyne (not to be confused with Blackenstein) is live on Kickstarter. The Monster of Blackenstyne, via @Kickstarter www.kickstarter.com/projects/dfw...
LOVE Flash's hair here
BIG agree
Big fan of the Power Men, both in Alex Raymond's original Flash Gordon and in Dan Schkade's version.
The idea that electricity generation on Mongo is the domain of an elite order that even Ming never completely controlled makes perfect sense in the medieval-but-with-rocket-ships setting.
Bulon! Deep cut, nice. I have other plans with him down the line, if we get the chance. As for Gorma, he's a new baddie for this storyline.
Damn, fantastic catch! Yeah, I think there's another story to be told with Bulon. I wanted to make a new villain for the Power Men to chase around, to further the feeling of them having their own parallel storylines we don't see
LOVE the wirepoon. Dual wielding with the sleeping gas gun is such a great look.
In which Flash realizes he's guest starring in somebody else's show, but a true professional always adjusts accordingly
The scene from BATMAN: YEAR ONE where Bruce Wayne, bleeding out in his study, tries to figure out how his War on Crime can begin, edited in with a balloon from a Goofy comic (by which I mean a comic featuring the Disney character Goofy) reading "Welp... time ta TRANSFORM muhself"

Ooooh man really wish I could respond to this very slightly unpleasant business email but I really need to track down my estranged uncle, it's been eighteen years and I'm worried the trail might go cold
Ellery Rummage, protagonist of webcomic SETTLERS OF THE STORM WORLDS, digs through books for something new.
Tomorrow, new update on my webcomic, SETTLERS OF THE STORM WORLDS! So many books, so little time... www.patreon.com/c/carlaspeed...
Listen to Jeff! The new cover for the second print is rad—and, if you missed out thanks to the first print run selling out quickly, now’s your chance to get caught up.
Okay but first you have to join the union and get certified, in that order
This one is a little more inspired by disaster movies/shows like THE CHINA SYNDROME or CHERNOBYL, with the added element of Flash being all, "if I was in Reactor 4 it wouldn't have gone down like that"
In my head, they started out as just another arm of Ming's civil labor force, getting chewed up by horrible working conditions and paid scraps. Over time, they somehow developed into a semi-autonomous entity with significant political power. Which would be some VERY interesting history to dig into.
Yesss so glad to hear it
HELL yeah
I love the idea that The Power Men all have full on Bat Family utility belts, sonic screwdrivers, and high grade body armor for what is essentially a public works job
Soviet realist painting of a woman operating a port crane. Our perspective is from behind her so we see the lofty view of the port out the window of the crane’s cab
