Eclipse phase 2e!
Its a weird game, very hard to gm, but I LOVEEEEE how rolling works in it. D100 roll under but you wanna roll as high as possible and there is a bunch of dice tricks you can do is INSPIRED.
the ever controversial Licorice
very brave of you, I cannot personally agree but this is very brave.
Usually people either never talk or just make a couple jokes.
that was INSANE.
Recently played Deadlock and had my first experience with Gamers Who Say Bad Things In All Chat while playing with my friends
I had heard about this historically but they really pulled out Everything
Racism, Ableism, Queerphobia *and* Sexual Harassment
F.I.S.T!
Got this in a charity bundle and ran a short campaign of it before it died, loved the charecter creation, heavily inspired my game T I D E S(which I really should update one of these days).
Never got that into metal gear, mostly know about it through watchmojo types.
Lancer!
I am in a campaign of this one, play it every Sunday, I love tactical TTRPGs with in depth and fun combat and Lancer was a big thing for those.
Never would have met my a lot of my friends if not for the fandom either.
I'll be the first to argue we don't need to see a character fuck to count as queer rep, but if I see ONE MORE bisexual character who's allegedly tremendously sexually adventurous off-screen, but is coincidentally always single or with a conventionally acceptable partner whenever they're on camera
Job interview soon!!!!
Maybe I will stop getting into random arguments on the internet for fun as the fables say.
I have a friend who genuinely supports these and works on these. the Progress Quest video game is a big touchstone.
Mint-Rabbit has a lot of good collections.
also side note because looking at your account I think we had a miscommunication here.
I really like chronicles of darkness and thought the way Doors worked being phrased as being sleazy in Mage, Vampire and Werewolf was really cool and interesting, I am not attempting to insult/cancel the game.
alright looking through all my books because now I am curious
Demon, Beast and Changeling are more neutral
But Vampire, Mage and Werewolf use the Victim language
Which Is Really Weird???????
Huh it only seems to do that *in* mage
I checked changeling the lost 2e and the core book and it doesn't do that there.
I always assumed it just kinda copy pasted it from book to book but the mage one is worded Entirely Differently
Social Maneuvering People often wonβt do what you want just because you ask them to. You need to persuade them, making your offer or request as enticing as possible. You donβt have to use positive enticements β βYour wife wonβt find out about your affair,β is often more effective than βHereβs fifty bucks for your trouble.β You just need to find out what the other person wants. Goals & Doors To begin a Social maneuver, you need to declare your charac- terβs intended goal: What you want the victim to do, and how your character is going to make that happen. At this point, you only need to announce the initial stages. The Storyteller will determine if the goal is reasonable β while a con-artist could convince a rich victim to hand over a large sum of money, he
probably canβt convince her to abandon all her wealth, at least not without supernatural powers. Each victim has a number of Doors, which reflect her resistance to coercion, her skepticism, and her mistrust of other people. A character has a base number of Doors equal to the lower of her Resolve or Composure. If the announced goal would be a breaking point or act of hubris for the victim, add two Doors. If the goal would prevent the victim from resolving an Aspiration or Obses- sion, add a Door. Acting against a victimβs Virtue also adds a Door. The number of Doors can change as the situation alters. If the goal seems mundane at first but ends up being reprehensible, it will probably increase the number of Doors required. If your character changes his goal, any Doors that heβs opened remain open, but assess Aspirations, Obsessions, Virtues, and breaking points in case of a potential increase. A character has to open Doors one by one. Every successful roll opens one Door β not one per success. As Doors represent a victimβs unwillingness to do what your character asks, theyβre strictly a one-way relationship.
It does!

Oh it doesnβt?
I could have sworn it did
toreador I think, she's imperious but she's also a fashion designer.
I am pretty sure Drifter is a Sabbat Gangrel.

Not all mech stuff, and some of this is homebrew supplements for mech games, but this has a lot.
Genuinely I don't think its actually that much more Crunchy than DND . The only part I think is really that much harder is charecter creation, and there is actually a helper tool for that.

I think its really funny how negative the comments are under any Onion post that isnβt directly about Trump.
Slightly obscured critique of Trump? βHaha the onion you are the real journalism we needβ
Slightly obscured critique of classism in pet food marketing? βWhy are being to cats Mr The Onion?β
The Far Roofs, an adventure fantasy ttrpg about going to the mythical rooftops and discovering grand new powers.
Its a great introduction to Narrative Scripting Mechanics for people who aren't as familiar with those, and the mysteries are soooo fun as antagonists.
Triangle agency!
My favorite ttrpg ever, Iβve been told I ran one of the first long term campaigns back during the delta test, amazing game, very innovative.
I love being an employee of a wicked multidimensional megacorp stabilizing reality from perception distortion creatures.
Sentinel Comics RPG!
Its my favorite superhero game, and weirdly useful for things other than superheroes. It is very well made and very inspirational to me.
Plus I love the card game, so that also increases my love for the game.
I realized SCRPG would be great for a Deadlock inspired thing
Mostly because moba characters and superheroes use similar logic structures.
1 Like= 1 TTRPG in my library
Hive mind that specializes in self sacrificial holy magic so that it can martyr itself as much as possible.
Like, weird bug knights that fight against tides of the undead or whatever the big Antagonist is with very little regard for their own life, burning fast and hot.
everyone should play triangle agency and post their play reports. It's the best game for generating bonkers play reports, and every session is 3-7 times more fun even than the report makes it sound
Sorry I am writing this at like 1am, I think I had a thought I was gonna start exploring with that βother peopleβ bit but I completely lost the thread
Well thatβs the thing with unwritten rules right, itβs kinda expected everyone will just Intuitively Expect and Understand Them, and like 90% of the time that ends up working out well, but some people donβt do that as easily.
