Sorry for anyone affected by the violence in the Middle East and that sympathy extends to Isabel Oakeshott and her family.
Perhaps this experience will help her reflect on the fear and suffering of millions of people who suffer far far worse and are obliged to flee famine and war.
Let me guess, wealthy people who moved to Dubai to avoid paying taxes now want the countries they moved from to protect them?
FarRage and Goodwin (Badloser, geddit?) show by their graceless and baseless comments after their loss in Gorton and Denton that they really don't like the country they live in and the people they live among. They should emigrate.
Osborne, Cameron & certain Lib Dems have a lot to answer for. All problems you see today from pot holes, to waste dumping, sub standard housing, rise of food banks is all because they decimated public funding while selling off infrastructure too. They need their day in the court of accountability.
I propose a new word - tantrump.
Careful, Donald. Remember what happened to the Queen...

There's a one hour special on Nigel Farage and Reform UK, and whether they are ready to lead, on BBC2
Presumably, there will be a similar one hour special on Zack Polanski, and whether The Greens are ready to lead, as well?
Queuing at the pub? Now I know that this country is finished.

A reminder that Thatcher's "government as household" analogy traps us in a degenrate narrative that will always end in austerity.
Meanwhile Charles and William are laughing all the way to the bank. The Duchy knew about the radon problem before agreeing the lease.

Its a new year and I'm already sickened by this weak govt's take on what is effectively a human tragedy - people embarking on unsafe boat journeys in search of safety and security - former human rights barrister Keir Starmer you can do better -the shame is on you

Kemi B: "People who hate Britain should not be welcomed into our country." OK, let's deport Farage then. What does he like about the UK? I suspect even the pints of ale are a pose, and he drinks claret away from the cameras.
Thank God they didn’t claim an extra £10 in Benefits or they really would be in trouble!
2 in 3 of Nigel Farage’s current and former partners do not speak English as their first language.
So Corbyn who is a renowned fighter against discrimination is tarred as an anti-Semite by the UK press, whilst Farage singing about gassing Jews and being an overt racist is treated by the same press as banter. Every wrong in the UK summed up in one juxtaposition
Half-heartedly following the Your Party debacle you become aware that the 'left' constantly issues tests of ideological purity, elevating issues that, while not unimportant, are very far from most people's concerns, thereby sabotaging itself from the outset.
A lot of the problem is shit life syndrome - poverty, stress, inequality.

BBC News: "the government believe refugees are deliberately bringing their children to avoid deportation"
As opposed to doing what with their children??
Will Border Force be extracting gold teeth?

Listening to Radio 4 and the reporting on people seeking asylum is factually incorrect on multiple levels, including overstating channel crossings in comparison to other routes to seek asylum. No wonder people don't understand the situation when the media reporting on it is so poor.
"The Labour Party is a moral crusade or it is nothing." Harold Wilson, 1962. So with the latest anti-refugee moves, it is nothing. Morally empty, politically inept.

Well I've been complaining to the BBC about biased coverage of asylum seekers but I didn't expect Davie to resign over it.
