Bluesky already has all the things I expect from Twitter, but I'm finding myself wishing for features commonly found on Mastodon/Fediverse - namely (indefinite) post updates, longer char limits (min 500 pls), post visibility, follow requests, more profile attributes (i.e. links), opt to flag as bot.

There's just a TON more going on behind every Bluesky post compared to Mastodon, which is recipe for a super diverse set of bugs to be discovered.

In this case, I've configured the bot not to include links, just the embedded object - but only if it has sufficient metadata (thumbnail, title, etc.)

Still ironing out some bugs, as clearly seen here hehe. Shit like this don't appear no matter how many tests you run, until it goes to prod - obviously. 🙃
