If you have friends or family in Caracas do contact the foreign office. Or you local MP if that doesn't work.
At last we are able to address the biggest cause of the lack of UK economic growth.
Pleased to have voted against this to stand up for people's rights
My message to the millions of One Nation conservatives who reject the divisive politics of Badenoch and Farage is this:
Come and join us. Help us save our country. Come and win with us.
This is appalling news and not who we are as a country.
Great to meet @sarahgibsonmp.bsky.social this morning - it was great to see Sarah's interest in the constituency data for #HeatPumps, and we're looking forward to continuing the conversation.
The cut in the Russian oil price cap to $47.60 is just a drop in the ocean.
We need tougher action:
🚫 Ban UK imports of fuels made from Russian oil
🚫 Block UK firms from shipping/insuring Russian LNG
💰 Slash the cap to $30
Hit Putin’s war chest. Stand with Ukraine.
Tomorrow I will be a tabling a motion to force the government to release the legal advice it has received on Israel's military action in Gaza and breaches of international law.
Ministers cannot turn a blind eye to this humanitarian catastrophe any longer.
I'm boycotting the state banquet to send a message to both Donald Trump and Keir Starmer that they cannot close their eyes and wish away the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Donald Trump can stop this catastrophe in Gaza and get the hostages released.

🎯 SO CLOSE BUT SO FAR
Keir Starmer visits Swindon... 🌾 But what about rural Wiltshire?
The Government’s plans might work for cities — but where’s the vision for our rural industries?
🚫 No plan for public services
🚫 No serious rural investment
🚫 No support for agri-tech or small businesses
Proud to support this request for more action
The extra time is excruciating... Come on lionesses
The world is looking on in horror as Netanyahu's Government plots to lock Gaza's entire population into effectively a giant prison.
The Prime Minister should make it clear that the UK won't stand idly by, starting by sanctioning Netanyahu himself.

"This is a really urgent issue and if we want an NHS that works well, we need to make sure that social care works well too."
@alisonebennett.bsky.social
The situation of the Palestinian's cannot be ignored for much longer. We need to recognise Palestine.
Pleased to have been part of this report which highlights how urgent the issues are.
Good to hear @amcarmichaelmp.bsky.social continue to support family farmers as he out lined to farmers in my constituency last month.
Care workers deserve better— Better pay, better conditions, and a real career path.
The last government failed our carers. This government must act now for them. #PMQs
Pleased to have been able to highlight the issues facing small businesses in the hair and beauty sector to the minister www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Thank you Martin And chloe
It's important in the face of us tariffs that we support UK businesses. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Today Donald Trump has launched a destructive trade war that threatens the jobs and living standards of people across the UK and around the world. We need to end this trade war as quickly as possible - and that means standing firm with our allies against Trump’s attempts to divide and rule. The Prime Minister should bring our Commonwealth and European partners together in a coalition of the willing against Trump’s tariffs, using retaliatory tariffs where necessary and signing new trade deals with each other where possible. If the Government gives in to Trump's threats, it will only encourage him to use the same bullying tactics again and again.
My statement on Trump’s reckless trade war.
@sarahdykeld.bsky.social how beautifully said
The Trump administration is unreliable and we need to reinforce our trading relationship with the EU. Reeves called the US our biggest trading partner today.. which is of course only true if you take each EU country individually
"Rachel Reeves inherited a dreadful economy from the Conservatives, but her budgets have hit small businesses and undermined growth.
"Liberal Democrats want to see a new UK-EU customs deal. That would do more for growth than anything this government's put forward."
@eddavey.libdems.org.uk
The spring statement was a missed opportunity for the government to show support for rural areas. Penalising the most vulnerable is not the way to achieve growth. Id have liked to see a reversal of the jobs tax that is so challenging for the small business and some funding for rural transport.
This morning on @politicswest I made the point that if the government is really serious about helping more people into work then investing in health and social care especially mental health services is the answer. That's how to cut the welfare bill . Not penalising the disabled.
"Liberal Democrats' role in British politics has never been more essential.
Our precious liberal values are the only antidote to the growth of destructive nationalism."
