I know that, logically, I shouldn't think this way. Yet it's very hard to ignore the urge to compare and analyse my own work to death. To simply write for fun, for myself, without this "inner critic" has been pretty rough won't lie

It's why I also am hesitant to like, really interact with other writers too 😭 Because my mind is screaming "YOU SUCK AND YOUR STORIES AND OCS SUCK MORE " everytime I plop open Google Docs and AO3.

It's something I'm still working on!

But now I'm learning to just write even if I'm still uncomfortable & wrestling with feeling like I'm hella cringe. I don't get many hits on AO3, but I try to remind myself I'm writing for me.

Writing again is helping me open up more with self-expression in my work. I tend to restrain myself from going all out, wondering if it will end up self-indulgent drivel with no cohesive plot
