In 1926, as a member of the Irish Senate, W.B. Yeats enthusiastically took charge of the committee designing new coinage for the Irish Free State. Yeats decided the different denominations should be symbolised by different animals (was he consciously thinking of this as the “tails” side?) 1/2

Senator Yeats also chose the harp for the other side, because he wanted “ …no crowned heads or self-important men” on our coins.
The harp is now the symbol of Official Ireland: we are the only nation with a musical instrument as our National symbol, as a result.

It’s be front page news worldwide, we’d see pics of the kids, interviews with their distraught parents etc.

But when innocent victims of US mass murder are “only” Iranian, whoopsies, accidents happen!

You put two and two together and it is easy to see that Israel wants Lebanon itself destroyed.

They obstruct the roads so Palestinians won't be able to leave their homes

Then they can easily conduct pogroms in their villages without them being able to escape
