Hahahah the mummy sound that they recreated??? When I first read this I imagined dust coming out of my mouth, but no, that weird weak little voice sound is accurate- like where did this tiny voice come from in me???

But I needed the uninterrupted alone time, I hope this doesn’t make me develop dementia some day

Some weekends when I don’t have the kids I just crash and spend the whole time alone, until I end up in some exchange with a human (coffee shop/video store, etc) and when I speak for the first time in days my voice sounds weird and feels weird in my body.

Like I just keep my shit together because I have kids I am responsible for, and in some ways that makes me take better care of myself than I would without them, but it also means I’ve been in a constant state of hustle/panic/hyper vigilance for 15 years now

I was mostly thinking about you. But, that’s a good question! I think I am doing “ok” but I don’t care about myself the way I should/do for others. And I am really lucky in a lot of ways, but I also constantly ignore/downplay how much I am really struggling all the time.
