A large cone tornado sits in the background of a rural stretch of storage buildings. Chyrons showcasing radar information sit at the bottom of the frame
A snapshot of the tornado tearing through the NE side of Kankakee, IL. This image comes from Cory Gerkin's live stream of the ongoing severe weather outbreak.

The many transit disruptions outlined in this story have happened with Waymo operating a fleet in San Francisco that is <1,000 vehicles.
What happens when there are 10,000 Waymos roaming San Francisco streets? 100,000?
"bunkle up" is gonna rattle around in my brain for the next few weeks, maybe longer
An acrylic painting of a skeleton framed head and shoulders leering at a Chicago-style hot dog it is holding in its hend. The hot dog has a little face that is just two eye holes and a mouth hole, and some spooky, ghosty green ectoplasmic things are floating up out of the little face holes. No I don't know why either.
I have once again been way off w/r/t actual painting so I wanted to mess with something small and low stress and dumb with no attachment to how it was going to turn out and I think it's safe to say I accomplished that
I hate that I cannot see this happening on league pass
is that good

Kalshi employees "kind of understand that without the tweets and the streamers and all of the social-media stuff that the traders do for them, usually just for free, their marketing would be a lot harder," said Jack Campion, 20, a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Kalshi affiliate. In September, Kalshi briefly signed up a 15-year-old videogame streamer who goes by vertid online to promote its brand on X as an affiliate. A week later, Kalshi ended the partnership. "Yo brother, legal team confirmed that we can't work with minors rn," a Kalshi employee wrote to the user in messages reviewed by the Journal. "Kinda sad tbh."

it's not really possible to repost this whole exchange but it is really, really depressing to see two chicago people who i do not know and do not interact with @lilybeansdad.bsky.social and @localcelebrity.bsky.social be witness to and part of an incident of a driver striking a cyclist and aftermath
I was driving south on Clark St with a cyclist in the bike lane next to me and watched as a VW SUV driver in front of me cut off and narrowly sideswiped the cyclist to turn into the Staples parking lot.
The driver then tried to speed away through the parking lot turning onto Greenview north.
probably not the best time assbot
Hey everyone,
I want to take a moment to offer my sincerest apologies for missing the two-year anniversary of one of the greatest Milwaukee stories/headlines of all time. It was irresponsible and completely inappropriate and I have since posted it here.
I haven't said anything about this before, bc in the grand scheme of horrors this only rates as an inconvenience, but since others are experiencing it:
Just three days after CBP arrested me for filming them outside Broadview on 9/27, my TSA Pre & Global Entry were suspendedβand so were my wife's.
