Gotta catch 'em all!
That's very kind of you to say, thank you.
Sorry, just seen you got there hours ago. I got very enthusiastic. Apologies.
Found some siblings in the Parish Registers, and I think it's hot presser. This document suggest that Joseph was a girdler or a belt maker. More here: londonroll.org
Is this the original parish register or the Bishop's Transcript? Also when are we talking, and which parish?
Did Joseph have any more children? You might be able to find him listed under another entry, and his occupation might be more legible. Sorry if I'm mansplaining.
Using The Allister Heath Headline Generator. The text reads: "Starmer's zealous embrace of Your Mum is the greatest mistake in modern political history"
I didn't know about Allister Heath until today but I've had hours of fun by simply typing 'Your Mum' into the headline generator thingy.
Thanks for these.
I'm sure they would have all been really interesting, but reading 'The Six Doctors' was particularly special. Thanks again.
Yes, this is exactly what I thought when I read it. Consciously or unconsciously there's always seems to be a throughline back to the inventiveness of Terrance Dicks

Thank you to @garybrannan.bsky.social for letting us visit and to Lydia for showing us round. We had a great day.
The Terrance Dicks Collection is just one of many fascinating archives held at the Borthwick. More about their collections here: www.york.ac.uk/borthwick/ho...
CASTELLAN: No! I know nothing I tell you. If you use the probe to ask questions I can't answer you'll burn out my mind. BORUSA Take him away CASTELLAN: No ... no! STRUGGLING WILDLY THE CASTELLAN IS DRAGGED OUT BY TWO BURLY GUARDS ALL THIS TIME THE [BAKER] DOCTOR HAS BEEN SITTING MOTIONLESS XXXIX STUDYING BORUSA THE CASTELLAN IS DRAGGED IRON THE ROOM, AND SUDDENLY THEIR IS AN OUTBREAK OF CONFUSED
Finally the first iteration of the Castellan's 'No. Not the mind probe' line. Good job it changed - 'No! I know nothing I tell you. If you use the probe to ask questions I can't answer you'll burn out my mind' isn't quite as quotable...
TROUGHTON DOCTOR: My dear Brigadier, it's no use blaming me. I came to see you in all good faith, to wish you a happy retirement and - BRIGADIER: - and here we are! You attract trouble, Doctor, you always did. I'm supposed to be on holiday, you know - I was planning on going to Cromer. (LOOKING ROUND) And now where are we? TROUGHTON DOCTOR: Well. it isn't Cromer .. but it reminds me of somewhere all the same.
I very much enjoyed Terrance's callback to 'The Three Doctors' here with the Brig planning a post retirement holiday in Cromer..
HARTNELL DOCTOR: (GENTLY) So do you, my dear. SUSAN: I should think I do. It must be nearly twenty years since you left me on Earth. HARTNELL DOCTOR: Is it really? I was in Retirement. you see. After regeneration, the old persona spends some time in a kind of temoral cul-de-sac, a sort of limbo. Gives one a chance to fade away gently. SUSAN: And you were snatched up too, like me?
Here is first of three personal highlights from the script. I like the idea that after regeneration the Doctor's previous personas retire and spend time in a 'temporal cul-de-sac'
Title page of script reads "DOCTOR WHO" THE SIX DOCTORS by Terrance Dicks
Handwritten note - mostly unintelligible 'more danger time running out, more dangers for Doctors More dangers for Peter (?) Death zone more nasty (?) (?)
The draft copy was entitled 'The Six Doctors', and features the fourth Doctor in full. As well as the script the folder included handwritten notes by Terrance, and presumably notes from the often incompetent and unprofessional script editor Eric Saward.
Speccy looking short middle aged man with a shock of dark but greying curly hair sits engrossed reads a draft of the 20th Anniversary Doctor Who adventure 'The Five Doctors' then entitled 'The Six Doctors' while consulting The Terrance Dicks collection at Borthwick Institute at the University of York.
Me, today, at the Borthwick Institute at the as part of a fact finding work trip to see the various collections held by the archive.
This is me working very hard indeed as I consult a draft copy of the 1983 Doctor Who adventure The Five Doctors which forms part of the Terrance Dicks collection.

It's one of the first stories I taped off air - this and The Awakening. They were both repeated in July 1984. I watched them both over and over again. They're hardwired into to me.
Absolutely this. Kermit is the host.

Earlier in the week I put my groovy flower powery 1960s vintage Elizabethan Potteries Tea Set on display in the dresser. The design is 'Carnaby' (a bit on the nose).
