We're incredibly dismayed to hear this news. Valuing the workforce should & must be at the very centre of running a successful & efficient NHS. Recruitment and retention will worsen and the quality of life for all concerned will do similar as a result. This is a very poor and short sighted decision.

Not only are we not a priority, we’re not even an afterthought. We are 51% of the population. The biggest users of health and social care. We also make up the majority of paid and unpaid carers propping up the health and social care system. What will it take to be heard and prioritised?

Honestly, all week I’ve been trying to think of something smart to say about the complete absence of women/women’s health in the new NHS plan, but I just don’t have the energy for this anymore. We are not a niche group, and you are STILL failing us @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social

Important thread on the financial reality of the NHS budget.

£22bn is a huge amount of money BUT after 14yrs of neglect, it's sadly not enough to make the impact required.

I'm concerned this analysis & nuance will not be widely appreciated & frontline staff will bear the brunt of dissatisfaction.
