The term βLynchianβ is embarrassingly overused, but more than halfway through this, the surrealism often reminds me of the experience of watching Inland Empire - the narrative collapsing on itself just when you think itβs going to take hold. Written in 1980.
Itβs about what I expected. Watchable airport junk. I mostly was more entertained by the audience; the husbands who suddenly perked up whenever Sydney whipped her tits out and the teenage girls who filmed every sex scene and excitedly tiktoked in the parking lot to the end credits song.
Jesus, this is a packed house
Letβs see how this Housemaid movie isβ¦
Woodbineβs character is named Steve Grant. I donβt know why that stuck out to me so.
This was never gonna work because you can make a comics movie with anyone, but Blade is a Wesley Snipes movie.
Iβm prob basing it on how badly that one in Brookhaven has been doing. Feels like the overhead would be crippling.
Honestly, I think those theater-restaurants are going to be the first ones that go out of business.
Between Jackie Brown and OUATIH, thereβs a glimpse of the filmmaker I wish we got more of.
Also falling into that Holmesian category: the Facebook dudes firmly believe she was trying to hit him.
In the βno shit Sherlockβ side of things, I imagine she didnβt even see that guy standing in front of her carβ¦probably looking at the dumbfuck at her window as she tried to pull away. Obviously we have a duty of care when we drive, but who couldnβt understand her panic?

The Peopleβs Joker is going to be on The Peopleβs Streaming Service (Tubi) on 1/21.
I havenβt seen it yet!
It's an MTV simulator with almost 30,000 videos, organized by decade, with special sections for Headbanger's Ball and Yo! MTV Raps. This is so good.
Because Michael Moorcock was right (I love The Lord of the Rings to the point where Iβd get sworn in on it maybe, but Tolkien was the kind of conservative catholic that got pissed that the sermons werenβt in Latin anymore)
Book #2: Page 1 rewrite starts tomorrow morning. For the best!
Sebastian Stan is a fine actor and Iβm sure heβll be great in the part if thatβs what heβs playing. But stillβ¦
And Twin Peaks
And Mad Men (though I had to warm to it a little)
And The Leftovers
And yes, The Sopranos, great fucking ending for anyone that actually paid attention
Next Gen
Sheβs right and she should say it.
Hereβs Epic Pooh if you ever want to read it web.archive.org/web/20080324...

Iβm sure. He didnβt have a POTUS run in his future, he just wasnβt that guy. But itβs too bad he and Klobuchar couldnβt just swap roles any longer. That was his next, best role going forward.
The X-Men are back! And looking old as shit!

Were you born in 89? Because if so, holy shitβ¦

Despite however I felt about the execution, when people were kicking around the Court of the Owls I thought βwell, that makes sense.β Tie it together with Tommy Elliot in some way and youβd have a pretty rad story about Gothamβs old money.
Iβm a realist, Azrael, Man Batβ¦too much to hope for.
Iβm sure itβll zag in a worthwhile way, but I hate that the rumor mill seems to be pointing to The Batman Part 2 doing The Long Halloween in some form. Beyond that I think that comic sucks balls, Nolan already covered the only worthwhile part that ground.
David Robert Mitchell, despite having the most forgettable name on earth (three first names what the fuck?), put out two bangers in a row and is just now finally releasing a new one this year. Canβt wait.
