"It is completely devastating that Glasgow has suffered another serious fire in the heart of the city- our thoughts are with those businesses and workers who have lost everything. We wish to thank the firefighters who bravely fought the fire at this historic corner of Glasgow. "With the intensity of the fire exacerbated by vape products, and with multiple fires recorded in our refuse service for the same reasons in recent years, Government must act on Greens long- standing callto fully regulate and license vape products, including controlling how lithium-ion battery products are stored, and consider whether these products are suitable or safe to be sold on our high streets atall" "The economic impact of this fire will be significant and the disruption will be felt for many weeks, months and possibly years, so strong lessons must be learnt. We must see all levels of Government look towards how we urgently rebuild what is a true cornerstone site of Scotland's busiest railway station -we can't keep letting Glasgow's built heritage go up in flames"

Westminster Voting Intention, sourced from YouGov between one March and three March, features a bar chart highlighting that the Green Party has reached second place for the first time in YouGov polling. Reform UK leads at twenty-three percent, a decrease of one percentage point since twenty-two to twenty-three February. The Green Party follows in second at twenty-one percent, an increase of four percentage points. The Conservative Party and the Labour Party are tied at sixteen percent, with the Conservatives decreasing by two percentage points and Labour also decreasing by two percentage points. The Liberal Democrats are at fourteen percent, showing no change since the previous poll.

Investment for an energy efficienct council

We saved over £4m through energy efficiency last year - we can and will do more 💡

£1m for tenement retrofit

To tackle energy bills, we've allocated £1m for tenement retrofitting 🏡

More neighbourhood clean teams

We will have a cleaner, greener Glasgow with more neighbourhood cleansing teams 🧹

Get rent controls done

We've resourced officers to do the work needed to get rent controls done for Glasgow as soon as feasibly possible ✊ 🏡

Over £5m to halt front-line social care cuts

Our budget was the only budget giving funding to stop front-line health and social care cuts at the IJB 💚

We are going to roll Free School Meals out to P7 - making it universally free for all Primary Pupils 🍲
