Literally no journalist seems to be able to bring themselves to ask Trump or any of his regime apparatchiks βwould you order a nuclear strike?β because..

Wonder how the next FIFA World Cup is going to go..
Who exactly has taken up this reinsurance?
How much is it going to cover?
I am trying so hard to get the dictionary to create a new word called βJournAIlismβ but with no luck so far.
I would also not be surprised to see airlines adding a βfuel levyβ back onto the top of ticket prices- as has been the case in the past when supply side shocks have significantly spiked prices.
To celebrate #InternationalWomensDay, we interviewed five women flying spacecraft at the European Space Operations Centre (#ESOC). Take a look at what they said about their experiences flying spacecraft and perspectives on inclusion. www.esa.int/Enabling_Sup... πͺ

Probably not if youβre flying a major airline between two major airports.
But you can certainly expect airfares to start increasing in price, insurance to start increasing in price and for schedules to be disrupted.
To repeat my classic mistake, did you really like Benβs band - βFolds Fiveβ?
(It took me a while to disambiguate the Bens).
Oddly enough if you shorted the won then you.. won.
If you bought a lot of won you.. lost.
The world is intellectually poorer and worse off for having to know the answer to this question.
I thought it this said βMen follow him to Heilβ and with the disbanding of USAID by DOGE being utterly heartless, it could be Elon Musk..

A reminder that Albanese and Wong have said Australia supports the US actions in Iran and presumably all the entirely predictable outcomes of those actions.
This is one such outcome for Australia.
The actors Ben Mendelsohn and Nadine Garner, in a park in Melbourne.
Ben Mendelsohn and Nadine Garner, in Melbourne. I think I took this some time in 1989. We were all so very young.
My dad was planning a caravanning trip through the countryside but had to cancel because his friends in small towns said fuel was being rationed or not available. And if he takes full fuel cans they're just going to add extra weight and he'll use more fuel
To be clear, this is a question MAGA politicians never ask just before engaging in sexual shenanigans aka βstatutory rapeβ.
Ha!
Well I hope you have a much older diesel because otherwise youβre about to kill your common rail turbo diesel.. π€ͺ
And yeah, itβs often the same guy and the same truck thatβs refilling a bunch of servos on a regular route.
The tanker driver I talked to had done over 1 million km on essentially the same route (Sydney to Wollongong, round trip) multiple times a week - over surprisingly few years.
Did i fill the car up in the midst of a fuel price crisis? Yes.
Did I do it because I was panicking?
Well, it was down to one bar and the fuel light had come on and itβs a really bad idea to let a diesel run completely dry.. but I wouldnβt call it βpanicβ.
It cost $25 more than.. last week.
I have to admit that I did not forsee that Venezuela and Iran would be candidates for US statehood in 2026..
..they may not easily be able to get more delivered much quicker because that truck is physically unavailable as itβs already on the road delivering elsewhere.
A chat with your local servo manager will get you the basic info that they have regularly scheduled fuel deliveries based on long term analysis of their sales cycles with a bit of leeway to tweak based on normal market fluctuations.
If they sell a weeks worth in a day..
The cost of the jerry cans (new) is more than the cost savings on a single purchase.
Iβve been trying to figure out what the folk buying βextraβ fuel are thinking.
2x jerry cans is 50l or one tank of fuel. Youβre saving $30 but now have to transport and store the fuel?
This is a standard tank.
10x jerry cans is 250l and you save $150.
This is 2x a Land Cruiser tank.
Trump can in fact do this by simply releasing fuel from the US SPR* at any price he wants to set.
(I was going to call it the US Strategic Reserve but USSR is too ironic)
*Currently at record low levels of 415m BoOe rather than the target 500m+.
Is that because it is a βwater, canβ not a βwater, cannot (fuel)β?

This isnβt because of any known supply side issues in Australia.
This is entirely a surge of demand and presumably panic buying in quantities far in excess of normal demand - which in turn is throwing normal supply chain timing out.
No servos near me have run out - though prices are up 35%.
The ALP are simply going to say they will be the party that oversaw the biggest drop in fossil fuel usage in Australia.
You know this right?
π€·πΎπ€ͺ
But is Bunnings out of the 100l mini rainwater tanks because you just know someone is going to be stupid enough to decide they can store fuel in that..
Reminder that the US βso calledβ Department of War has yet to formally declare a war on Iran.
Or in fact, anyone else.
Yeah but the reasons why it went to 17% in the late 80s and early 90s were not particularly to do with the oil (price) shock in the late 70s (TBF that did cause a near doubling by itself)
So I was trying to figure out if that was a point you were making or was it unrelated.. π€·πΎ
