It was an absolute revelation. For the first time I saw on a screen what the inside of my head looked like. Yes, including the nudity and calligraphy. But at this stage of my life what speaks to me most is Sir John's portrayal of age.
Yes! Love it.
Yes, exactly.

Do you still talk?
The studio I was using at the time had a skylight, so I turned off all the interior lights and used that.

and then the butt sniffing, right?
you're a birder?
I would think? but I don't know for sure.
Four BW photos in studio with white BG. In this set the blade is leaned on the wall and Randall is in front of it, the forms of his body visually contained within the jagged circle of the blade. Kneeling looking left.
Sitting facing us, one knee up arms at neck.
Squatting, hands down in front.
Squatting profile, curled up.

I think it is but not sure.
They are inherently short-lived, 10-15 years. Someone would have had to deliberate cultivate seedlings and there was nothing particularly special about them. Probably the many-generations-removed offspring of trees planted by the original farmers of that land, spread by birds.
Wow. That was in circle under those wild cherry trees next to the Erection. I remember it so clearly.
Oh yes.
IIRC that was in our living room when Greg was in vancouver to get married
❤️
Do you remember where you found that photo?
What is the substrate? It looks like fabric?
If you know the people involved that's something different altogether, I'd say.
That being said ... if anyone wants to pay me to be a "judge" on the "committee" of any of these contest, send me a DM. My rates start at CAD300 per use of my name.
At least there's some opportunity for exposure there? I dunno. But the photography things ... you pay your entry fee and that's the end of it. No exposure of any sort.
Same, tig, same.
If it's like photography "contests", if you have to pay an entry fee it's likely to be a fleecing operation.
