Oh what have you done,Gianni Infantino? Your trigger happy, school bombing FIFA Peace Prize winner doesn’t really buy into the power of sport to unite and the principle of fair play, does he?🤔⚽️🇮🇷🤦🏻♂️💰 #WorldCup2026
I have it on CD somewhere - stashed in the attic since moving house. It needs a vinyl reissue!
I’d love it if they rereleased some of his albums with live extras etc. I’m imagining there’s a lot of fantastic unreleased materials in some archive somewhere.
Agreed that the album he made with Corinne West was a gem!
Thanks. As I’m not on any of those platforms guess it’s goodbye. Good news for Meta I guess
Creation Lake by Rachel Kushner. Enthralling.
Was I being personal? It was a comment about style of play, get over it. Arsenal play shite football, aesthetically speaking - if I supported them I’d just enjoy the winning feeling. Guess Gooners are still sanctimonious 20 years on.
If I was an Arsenal fan I probably wouldn’t care, but many won’t have forgotten their sanctimoniousness during the noughties about any team who played aerial passes, scored from headers, or had a Gyokeres up front.
Nigel Farage starts his speech launching his parties manifesto for WALES by talking about Iran and complaining that Gorton and Denton by-election was "rigged".
Telling that he has mentioned Saddam Hussain more than Wales in the first 5 mins of his speech...
FT comments section this morning - saying what everyone else is thinking, right?
This is what I actually want from a government. Not this invading other countries nonsense.
Reform are denying me access to the Welsh manifesto launch...
Remember a few weeks ago when Reform UK threatened to defund Bangor University in the name of "free speech"?
Well despite repeated requests, Reform are not allowing me to attend their manifesto launch.

Well someone’s got to fund that essential performative trip to the Chagos Islands with the obligatory stop over in Dubai.
I see Labour throwing toys out of pram in such a scenario. They’d rather have a Reform / Con government than ally with the Greens, SNP, Plaid
Please ask your MP to oppose this increasing cruelty and stigmatisation towards refugees in the UK… help.care4calais.org/page/187542/...
@abarroscurtis.bsky.social I’m soon to publish a novel I’ve worked on for five years and counting, slogging away for long nights alongside a full time day job. As my MP, what justification is there for giving that work to AI companies for free so that they can scrape for their own profits?
Write to your MPs, spread the word and get everyone blasting the UK government.
We cannot let these ancient, out of touch, greedy fossils give gen AI, people's hard earned work.
Remember that in the UK, in space year 2026, it is *still* illegal to rip a CD you bought with your own money to play the resulting MP3s (or whatever) on your computer. That is not considered fair use. But AI companies eating all of our creative work for free soon will be.
Fuck off, Labour.
The UK government is looking to make legal for AI companies that which any ordinary citizen could be taken to court for. It is on the cusp of approving theft *only* in this case, a truly unequivocal “rules for thee, not for me” scenario.
That AI needs such special treatment indicts it utterly.
Polishing off Jesus Christ Kinski by Benjamin Myers, having mightily enjoyed.
Six years ago, his principles were entirely different.
Cheers mate. Regards: your Remain voting Welshman.

Wouldn't it be amazing if we had a system where people could just vote for the parties they most like, rather than to stop the party they most hate?
First Past the Post needs to be put out of its misery.
Now there is hope! It's no longer a choice between grim and grimmer. We can vote for who we want and win. Anywhere.
It's just one constituency, but the Green victory in Gorton and Denton is an electric shock to our political system.
Labour have been panned for sending fake 'tactical voting' advice to voters on the eve of a crucial by-election 🗳️

"But there’s always that nagging doubt, a feeling that you’ll be found out, at curling, at work, at life, that you’re not good enough. We boast then we cower. But you know what? Some days – most days – showing up at all, is a good result."
