Yeah that's a good start
Thanks for this!
I've seen some rumblings from the 2nd amendment crowd...but it's hard to find sometimes

Reading between the lines, itβs obvious Starmerβs position is temporary.
They keep talking about his βmandateβ from 18 months ago, which only matters if he can still deliver electorally this time around.
If Labour loses in May, heβs almost certainly gone.
Sarwarβs intervention looks less like strategy and more like self-preservation.
With the Scottish elections looming, distancing himself from Starmer may be the only political space he thinks he has left.
Labour rallying round Starmer was entirely predictable.
Sarwarβs move just exposes how poor a political operator he is.
There was never any chance Starmer would go before the Denton by-election, and even after that, heβd likely stagger on until May.
If you can be executed for carrying a legally permitted firearm (and then shot 11 times after it was taken from you while holstered) you donβt have the right to bear arms under the Constitution.
Where's the outrage?! Where's the 2nd amendment folk?!
Itβs wild how quickly the βdonβt tread on meβ crowd became βcomply or die.β
From βschool shootings are the price of the 2nd Amendmentβ to βhe shouldβve stayed home.β
From βKyle Rittenhouse is a heroβ to βyou canβt carry a gun, per the 2nd.β
Nothing says Peace Prize like two warmongers trading it for a coup dβΓ©tat.
Did another open mic standup. Apparently, the room wasn't ready for a 5-minute deconstruction of Santaβs gender identity, and a few people found the Trump/Clinton material 'hard to swallow.' Aside from the palpable sense of local resentment, Iβd say it went well. π
So I'm looking forward to my next open mic night...it's meant to be a festive edition. I was told by the organiser to write a Christmas joke...
But all I've done is written a bunch of Dick Chaney is dead jokes π«£
Also, the structural dynamics of Latin American politics, lwhich always features a left-wing progressive backed by a mass movement and a right-wing third-generation Nazi.
And the recent refurbishment at the local Tesco.
A wire spectrum of human discourse.
So last night was a great success. Got a few laughs at the neo-liberal Trojan horse propaganda that is Paw Patrol.
Today, Iβve been researching the curriculum for next months lecture....er I mean routine.
Iβve written jokes about how Doctor Who has gone woke... since 1963.
Dutch courage
...bit shit since it's 0%
But I drove here so there's that
Defund Paw Patrol, that's what I say!
At least the one person I know that will be happy is my wife.
Mostly because it means I have to stop performing my routine about the socio-economic collapse of Adventure Bay in the living room.
Her loss is the local community centre's gain. Sorry, in advance!
Well tonight is the open mic night.
I have no actual talent so it will be an attempt at standup comedy.
The good people of the local community centre will receive a lecture on the fascist undercurrents of Paw Patrol.
Pray for me. Or pray for the audience.
We're going to the world cup! A photo shows McTominay scoring the best goal in footballing history, an overhead kick.
For the first time in 28 years, Scotland will be at the World Cup!
That just means it's the other Bubba π«£
Seen the MacDougall's winter wonderland show. Really good! Worth a watch on YouTube if you're interested in Scottish Panto and need to occupy a toddler for 45 minute
youtu.be/s95fCRcJBaA?...
I'll maybe play it safe and just attend π
That's exactly it! Minus the guitar with maybe a joke in there!
Setup - some more setup - tangent - more setup - callback - address some audience disappointment - some long awkward pauses - some meta commentary - and then a painfully overly drawn out punchline, that was absolutely not worth it.
Probably not suitable for open mic night...unless I lock the doorsa
That's some pretty solid and great advice.
I guess my issue is that I've basically got the concepts of a joke.
You know how standup routine is often: setup - punchline - laughter
That's very efficient and clearly a winning formula....where as what I've got is...
I think it's less likely now since they are rowing back on breaking manifesto promises like raising income tax
...but it probably would have been someone awful like Streeting. I think the MPs would try to anoint a starmer-lite candidate as opposed to someone the membership would elect
There's an open mic night in my town...is it an issue if I have no actual talent?
Maybe the best venn diagram I've seen all week.
petro is so beast
'I did not have sexual relations with that president'
Either that or in AI π€£
I'm betting that it goes so badly that Sir Kid Starver will be out of no.10 by the middle of January
