Note to the writers of the universe -- USA failing because its leader fails to understand basic math is a little on the nose
Actually worse than the headline would suggest
When Americans were asked to temporarily sacrifice going to their barbers so we could keep the morgues from overflowing, people with guns stormed the Michigan capitol.
Should be pointed out that big reason for this is Antonio Chandler mysteriously being ruled ineligible on the eve of the MAAC Tourney. Worth keeping an eye on, as I'm sure Merrimack is asking, if he was supposed to be ineligible all season, how can they play in the NCAA Tournament?
Play your horses, G-Mac:
Siena's bench has played 6 minutes in this game so far.
G-Mac had a really good gameplan on both ends
Gerry McNamara facing a 2-3 zone attempting for the biggest win of his coaching career in the MAAC final:
They aren't celebrating until they take the floor next week.
Barring a world pandemic or something (I mean what are the chances of that, right, @jerrybeach73.bsky.social ?), Hofstra will play in its first NCAA Tournament since 2001 under Jay Wright next week and should slot in as a No. 14 seed or so, potentially dangerous.
FINAL
Wright State wins its first #HLMBB tournament title since 2022, beating Detroit Mercy, 66-63!
This happened once in the NCAA Tournament when I was in Dayton, but I was assured CBS would get the requisite ads in.
buddy every fucking day
While you were sleeping, Santa Clara removed any doubt they will be in the NCAA Tournament and should avoid Dayton.
Hofstra one game away from breaking the Curse of 2020 behind Preston Edmead and Cruz Davis, who once had a 12- game stretch this season sitting out for 1 minute. Total.
Monmouth-Hofstra in the CAA final. Someone tell @jerrybeach73.bsky.social he can open his eyes.
Oooooooovertime between Towson and Hofstra in the second CAA semi as Tyler Tejada begs for a foul that was never coming in that spot.
"Graham, we haven't lost a WCC semifinal since before I was born, we're good, man."
(Gonzaga last lost before the WCC final on 3/1/1997 in a quarterfinal loss to San Diego under Dan Fitzgerald.)
What happened the last time Furman made the NCAA Tournament, you asked? Wait, you didn't.
Too bad, you get Kevin Harlan anyway:
Georgia Southern comes up short, but good for Troy and Scott Cross, who continues to play his decade-long Count of Monte Cristo like revenge on UT Arlington for one of the worst coaching firings this century.
Amazingly, Towson's Pat Skerry is also in his 15th season without going to the NCAA Tournament, so would be quite the final.
Rice was hired on 3/29/2011.
Skerry on 4/5/2011.
King Rice's 15th season at Monmouth and he has never been to the Big Dance, which has to be the longest streak among active coaches? (Even though he got robbed once.) @kenpom.com @norlander.bsky.social
He will get a chance to end it tomorrow night in the CAA final.
