Some days, life feels too depressing to keep trying. I question the point of things when it seems like the world is a mess. It's nice to have moments when the clouds part and things feel lighter again, even if just for a bit so I can keep going.

I am feeling happy today and I'm letting myself have this. I got some good sleep (finally), the pets were all really well behaved this morning and we took Moxxie (who recovered well from surgery) out to a couple pet food stores for supplies. Had a slice of incredible tirmisu cheesecake.

Same with being a pet parent. The lost hour sucks, but at least my cats aren't shrieking like they're dying of hunger far too early and waking me up.

tbf that may have been his fate if a client of our veterinarian hadn't surrendered Purrsy and his littermates after they were born on said client's porch to a feral mother. That allowed the vet's staff to care for and socialize the kittens so they could later be adopted out to loving families 🧡
