The best way I've found to code with AI is to ask it to review your code or suggest improvement.
Alternatively, and this is what I often do, I ask it how it would code a specific feature.
This will force it to explain, split the task into steps and you have time to understand it.

I had a similar experience a few days ago! I'm a beginner in Kotlin and I tried to use the Gemini Agent on Android Studio to code a feature. The result was that the code wouldn't compile anymore, and I couldn't understand the code 😅. The lesson: "Don't ask an agent to do something you don't know."
