Love that! I've always thought there should be a Tony Hawk game where you can fall and break your leg and then the game won't let you play for 6 months until your character recovers.

First time on Dreams in a long long (long) time. Let's see if I can remember how to drive this thing!
This is where you say "actually this is already done in [game X]" and I will be super impressed at your excellent game knowledge.
I'm loving these ideas! How about... each location/stage having it's own track, but each character having their own variation on the track that can be shifted to or incorporated as an additional layer.
Who is winning? Robo-man? TB-303 synth. Angel-girl? Strings/choirs. Biker-dude? Elec guitar. etc.
"Perfect" is the enemy of "good". And "good" is the enemy of "passable". And "passable" is the enemy of "dammit Joe just submit something so you can be there".
If I can think of an idea then I'll give it a try, but I've nothing to promote otherwise!

I remembered (heh!) to put it into the Play Later list, but I've not been on Dreams since you released it. I will be a player one day! I've not tried Unbound. Looks especially good for those interested in sculpting, which I'm not. Which toolset will you be using for your next game?
Really appreciate this response, Stefan. It's got me thinking. Don't know what the result of that thinking is yet! I've used Unity and given Godot a quick blast, but they're pretty soulless, you know. I think I'd need to way more proficient in one of them before I'd get the "flow" I got from Dreams.
I've spent the year catching up and tackling the "pile of shame", so I guess that's a good thing. But it's never been about lack of inspiration, more about disillusionment with the direction of Dreams and the realisation that it'll never meet its potential. And the lack of clear "next path" for me.

So what now for me? Well... who knows. I made this account (over a year ago now!) as a gamedev hobbyist, but now I'm not even that. I'm just a directionless dude creating nothing. Maybe I'll find my way forward (or even back) to get into the scene again, but for now I'm creatively lost.
Melodramatics aside, I do really miss making games. Making stuff for a brilliant community using the legitimately most fun and inspiring gamedev toolset ever made in Dreams was like bottled lightning for me. The end of live support changed things - difficult to accept, but time helps.
I am lost. My profile used to read "GameDev hobbyist with #MadeInDreams", but I can't truthfully say I am any longer. I don't create on the platform any more, and I don't create anywhere else either. People moved on but I didn't follow, and in 2024 I have done nothing creative. I'm in gamedev limbo.
