Pres. Trumpโs "Board of Peace" is a deeply flawed, unserious, and harmful initiative.
Real, enduring peace is built in local communities -- not by decree of the powerful.
A word on immigration. Don't prejudge this, just listen to the data, and then consider what the solution is.
The UK has a falling birth rate. This means that - unless things change - each generation will be 25% smaller than the one before.
Aldous Huxley to George Orwell: My Hellish Vision of the Future is Better Than Yours (1949)
This week I have been mostly working in a bookshop storage space. Countless art books
The Martha Woodford of our time.
B.O. zone
Shouldn't that be down-treading?

Not least for the Joy Division album cover.
...Then drive it towards the abandoned mineshaft in Bowman's field.
Each to their own. And what's 'goth best'?
She could take Alice and Chris with her, maybe pick up Tom on the way.
It's OK. Everyone knows there's a semi-permeable portal on the Worcsestershire/ Warwickshire border that only allows certain people in and out to the Borsetshire that lies between. Any fallout would be contained and stored in the disused Walter Gabriel groan mines beneath Netherborne Hall.

I'm just on the perimeter!
They'll serve behind the bar and act as waiting staff to support Fallon.
Peep Show, M&W were good. I couldn't take WILTY or Upstart Crow (does he have to in everything #Footlightsmafia)? What had seemed subversive, now seemed very mainstream and comfortable. I liked Ludwig in spite of him, but couldn't take more of the M&W psychodrama that Back seemed to promise.
Maybe I need to te-read them. It's been a long time. I'm not saying Mitchell would be bad as Dent, just I see him more as Marvin - constantly pissed off, and terminally passive aggressive
That's not how I remember Simon Jones in the role. Daily Mail reader was how I thought of him. Very (small-c) conservative, intolerant views, but basically a gentle coward.
Ayoade as the happy cow in the restaurant.
Mitchell is too gloomy and superior, & Webb too lightweight and superficial. Marvin & Zaphod would have been my casting choices for them. From their milieu, I would take James Bachman as Arthur - anonymous, gentle, but acerbic & Matt King as Ford - nicely dodgy, & a bit thick.
My afternoon listen. Very pleasurable.
Peruvian surf guitar cumbia cover of Jonathan Richman track - a fine way to start the morning, thanks to Sounds and Colours magazine

A fine selection of songs from throughout Laurie Anderson's career.
Just following in what I thought was an insane food mix direction.
I hope there is a special brandy gravy sauce which you can heat up, pour over, and ignite.
More "The Drugs Don't Work" than "Heroin", I'd say...
