Messing around with new Fuji X-E5 black and white
Took the new camera out for a test drive today, still lots of learning but looking to break more into photography this year. I have the best mentor helping too!
@honestyeti
He/Him. Just a curious Yeti trying to get out of the forest, experience the world and let it know he is here. Enjoyer of digital and analog gaming, especially of the Euro variety, and a general nerd all around.

My plan is to stick to the normal 12 protocols to draft at the start but it will be a shuffled mix of them all. This should also help keep analysis paralysis low when picking and I think all are good regardless of new or experienced player.
Card game Compile Main, Main 2, Aux 1 and Aux 2.
I really like the ideas in Aux 1 but haven't tried Aux 2 yet. I have all the Protocols in the front and their cards in the back. I wanted a solution to make it easier to carry sound and since I am a sleever...space is limited.
Looks like you've got plenty of Compile to mess around with now. I know it just became more easier to get in the USA; I snagged the two Aux packs recently. I just recently put them all into one game shell carrier too.
Bacon, my 12 year old sweet orange Boi cat sleeping peacefully.
#cats #grief I said goodbye to my little buddy of 12 years today. It hurts, there is an emptiness but after 4 years of battling IBD I decided it was time to end the suffering early. It was the right call, but I will miss you my best friend. Be free and thank you for sharing life together, Bacon.
Glad you played it though but you are right. I think w/everything that happened w/Greater Than Games caused it to be harder to get & thus the price challenge. I should have napped it when I randomly saw it at a Barnes & Noble beforehand. It does seem to be have been picked up so hopeful this helps.
Mecha Man from Adhoc Studio game Dispatch
Also, I caught up on all of Dispatch, a game from several ex-TellTale devs. Great writing/story, voice acting, animation work and just all-around Cinema! I'm so emotionally invested & can't wait to see how they close it out with the last two episodes dropping Wednesday.
Learning star scheme data modeling and creating DAX measures
Practicing dashboards!
How did I spend my post surgery recovery week? Improving my data modeling and dashboard building, in Excel, of course!
I liked the quick learning and turns along with planning and player interactions.
Recently I played Compile: Main 1 & enjoyed it. 2p card game, 1st person to win all 3 of their protocols wins. Box comes w/12 protocols, providing different mechanics to the game. Cards have a value & you are trying to score 10+ to compile/win your protocol.
It's likely not going to fit in with the majority society and that is ok. You will find ways to navigate that & make it work for you. As I say, us ND ppl can get to the same destination as a neurotypical but often we need to use a different route on the gps. /2 end
Sounds like you hit your event horizon to make changes as an ND person. I find most of us have to hit that before things come into a better perspective. My old man on mountain shouting advice...find how your brian wants to work and leverage that. of /1

Last thing I will say, without knowing anything you are actually going through. If you come to the conclusion you like who you are, feel, and act, it's the genuine self you want to be, then it is possible the wrong supporting cast was hired into your movie.
For me, that brought me to my own realization of masking. However, unpacking all of that at 36, now 40,...o boy, it's taking time to understand the why while figuring out what edits I need/want to make for the movie I think I star in.
Our brains do things to make life make sense, but it doesn't always do things that fit the script. We can be blind to that if things are working out well enough, until they aren't. Then it's figuring out where it went rogue. That is where support can help π
As I have come to say, "The Brain is a Beautiful Jailer". I will say if you are thinking on how things fit or should fit your script, you are on the path of discovery & making a possible edit to it. This good! This is growth.
Without that support to help me better shape myself and my script, the survival piece was to take the script from external sources, masking. Blend in, don't really be seen and your self can't feel threatened.
If I am understanding you, sounds like you are able to follow & execute your own script. Some of us haven't been able to do that & for my own life experiences it came from my childhood & into adulthood of not having good support around me that let me know I was ok the way I was.
That's a deeper question, what is the self. One way to look at it is that life is like a movie. Everyone watching gets a different perspective of the same script but what's your perception of it. Are you acting, saying, feeling the way you see yourself or are you always playing a different role?
To your point though, sure everyone masks and only lets out information to certain people. For me, the withholding and mimicry felt more out of survival than "knowing your audience".
As an ADHD person, masking for me has been more about mirroring/mimicing other people so that I felt socially accepted. Honestly, over time I did it so much the mimicry became my personality. Unmasking, once aware, has been about being ok to bring my personality out when I want.
Final stats from my 70hr playthrough of Death Stranding 2
That's a wrap. #DeathStranding2 last delivery made. 4/5 for me, some critiques with the cutscenes & feeling empty/hollow/out-of-place weird moments at times but overall a good experience & graphically beautiful. Good continuation from DS1.
You tried a thing, and it didn't work out. Always a risk in the things we do, but I imagine what you learned in this has helped you grow in the long run.
While I am sorry that it had such an impact on you, I am happy to hear you got some closure.
Now w/new lessons learned onto the next chapter π
Have fun with it and if you end up liking it definitely give the 2nd one a go. Hopefully the spoiler trollz leave you alone today too, so you are able to enjoy the 1st play experience π‘
Fantastic play through, really enjoyed watching you experience this game and your theories along the way :)
It's a unique game and experience that sticks with you, after playing it π
Noticed this too, and it might be. If anyone is curious of the report it's here: www.prri.org/research/dem...
Slide 12 is where it looks like some of this might have been compiled from.
Berseria is one of my favorites in the Tales series, this makes me a little bias but I think it's a good way to play next!
That's what we have a Cowboy for. Thank you for putting your time and energy and expertise into these walkthroughs. They definitely got me through many of souls games and made me a bigger fan of them.
Great the hear all this Gil! When I was putting the badges together & saw your name, I thought it was great to have you back and that your time away from designing helped you :) Sometimes we just need a break and then we circke back around.
