HB Leor!
Subbed! I used to get PP when I was in highschool. Hi!
Ah yes, war-ravaged Evanston
Really love this :):) Iβve been working on a mapbox-based soundmap and itβs nice to see this golden sphere popping up in my feed rn
Wall test :)
Working on a soundmap of my 2023 thru hike of the pacific crest trail. Around 200 soundscapes from Mexico to Canada. Still a ways to go on this project but Iβm really happy with the progress!

Yeah 100%!
Nice. A small fire broke out across the street from us the other day and I lowkey wanna do some guerrilla wildflower seed planting in the burn area
Holy shit
A win! Thank you to everyone who spoke out! After facing bipartisan resistance, the Senate Parliamentarian, ruled that Sen. Mike Leeβs proposal to sell off millions of acres of federal land cannot be included under reconciliation rules.
That means your favorite hiking trails, campsites, and wild places could be sold off to the highest bidder. Tell your Senators to REMOVE this dangerous provision!
A friend helped make this guide to the public land sell off. Please share with friends, esp people out of the democratic states that this directly effects.

Nice work! Thanks for doing this and for sharing
@altnps.bsky.social ping
@altnps.bsky.social can you post this map and info?
A map of public lands proposed for selloff eligibility in the Big Beautiful Bill. 250mil acres with a mandate to sell 2-3mil in the next five years. Contact your senators and share this widely, please.

Last week I headed east for a few days to recording the Brood XIV cicada emergence. It was a challenging trip, but I managed to come home with at least a couple gems π

Timeless piece
Awesome. I forgot to mention that my stats were with Usi Pro/PiP, and without trickle charge enabled
Nice! I recorded 96/24 with the A-10 using a 20k anker last week for four days. The powerbank was at 63% when I came back for retrieval, with the A-10 still full.
Iβm excited to explore the idea of image and sound unfurling and developing on βnatural timeβ. It feels good. Here are the images (negative ππ» positive) from that trip.
Made possible by access to public lands π²
Iβve been trying to get up there at least every other week just to be. The San Gabrielβs are starting to feel like home field which is pretty cool. Wilderness time is really important for me these days, and Iβm grateful for how accessible it is.
Spent a couple days in Angeles NF last week. I staged some DIY pinhole cameras in a couple spots well off the beaten path paired with unattended field recorders for four days. Multi-day exposures, multi-day recordings.

Mountain Merries: like Sunday Scaries but instead Iβm headed up into the San Gabrielβs tmrw and itβs positive anticipation
This is a really incredible listen, thanks again for sharing. Iβd love to learn more about the specifics of his setup and the analysis+post-processing stages. Itβs a ton of audio to sift through! Really clean recordings and totally evocative composite soundscapes
I had to look up their call and agreeβit would get to me after a while, too! Could also be a cool recording opportunity of its own π
Itβs body sounds for me. What kind of owls are you getting?
Looks awesome, thanks for sharing!
Oregon crickets from the vantage of my tent in 2023. As tedious as the editing phase of this project is, it keeps me feeling connected to trail and public lands more generally. Keeping the spirit alive is an act of protest. #fieldrecording
