Well done!!!!!
Well done!!!!!
We deliberately didn't bring up politics with a US couple we met in Norway last summer. They brought it up and confirmed that they did not vote for this mess. If it's so sensitive... You know what you did wrong.
It's handy for repairs and occasional craft projects. When the Outreach programme at school asks for donations for craft projects I usually hand over quite a bit...
A photograph of a pair of "Norwegian pattern" hand-knitted socks in shades of orange, yellow and cream lay on a grey-blue couch with the leftover yarn (Lana Grossa Pro Lana).
Finished socks!!
I just finished a pair of socks while travelling for work on Wednesday - I'm at a crucial point on both of my current sweater projects so need time and headspace to focus on them (tubular bind off on one and the final neck decreases on another...)
I think that range is available at a little yarn store in the next village over... Which I happen to have a 15β¬ gift voucher for π€
I was just saying yesterday that I don't need any more yarn... I may have to rethink that statement π€
That's gorgeous yarn!!!
She also brought Easter chocolate! Cadbury bilbies for the girls and Darrel Lea nougat eggs for me and C π
I'm sure they are smaller than they used to be but still so good π
A photograph of an open carry-on suitcase filled with Australian treats. Darrel Lea licorice bullets, several varieties of Tim Tams, Iced Vovos and Mint Slice biscuits.
Quality haul from Mum!! Not pictured: Caramello Koalas and Binjang Tea.
OH MY GOODNESS π»
Do they not usually have pointy ears? (Ignorant Aussie here who still gibbers upon seeing a squirrel)
I have a huge Dutch oven that lives in there...

A brown penguin chick of some kind. It looks very much like a man in a suit. It is bedraggled and miserable
Made it to Friday but at what cost
I haven't bought any in a while (because... ahem... I have a LOT of yarn already), but their sock yarn was great. Same 75% merino, 25% polyamide blend you would get in more expensive sock yarn. It knits up well and the socks last really well (and it's easy to darn holes when you have leftover yarn!)
I'm not actually sure!!
No, when we did the ID check when we were opening our daughter's bank account they wouldn't accept my Aufenthaltstitel, only my passport. Even today the guy at the PO only needed the Aufenthaltstitel for the address.
So we're refinancing our mortgage. ID check info comes through. C, a DE citizen, can do his ID check online. 9pm, at home. I, an AuslΓ€nder, had to go to the post office to get it done. One of the many reasons I want citizenship!
Happy birthday ππππ₯³ππ I'll be joining you in that club in May π
My first thought was it's like that awkward corner kitchen cupboard that has a rotating shelf... Then I scrolled through the photos. What the hell would you do with that?!
thermobliss.com/anzac-slice/... baking ANZAC slice at 9pm on a school night because we have an exchange student with us this week and there's a buffet tomorrow afternoon at school...

Not a bad place to work!!
Day trip to Innsbruck tomorrow!! I don't get to travel much for my job so I'm ridiculously excited about it. Presenting to colleagues at a recently accredited school about the Baccalaureate English courses.
Now to choose a knitting project to take in the bus.
Yep. I mean it is exceptionally pretty (different landscape photos on every page) but attractiveness is not high on my list of requirements for a passport. Valid ten years, and it does include the postage from AU to DE and then to me.
Ack, given that our basement exits into the Kellerraum, I would not want to hear someone puffing and panting or bashing away on a treadmill...

365.58β¬ for my Aussie passport last month π³
GASP - this is stunning!!!
