Honestly same for me.
Honestly same for me.
She clearly hasn't read the room, has she?
But I suppose it's no more absurd than Oregon and Rutgers being in the same conference.
Agreed. I still can't fathom how Cal, Stanford and SMU are part of the ACC. It just does not compute for me. ๐
Mainline Christians like Talarico understand that there is such a thing as collective sin (like the ones you listed off). Right-wing Christians tend to lack this understanding and view sin as individual only.
Apart from the moral repugnance, this is so revealing of how ignorant conservatives are about poverty. Poor people have to think about money ALL THE TIME. They worry constantly about what everything costs, how to substitute one purchase for another, what bill can be put off until payday, etc.
The response at my church: uh, yes!
Honestly thatโs been my mode for the last 2-3 years now.
Yeah! The CCM music that I listened to as an undergraduate is more like 40 years old at this point. I guess that would be considered prehistoric by the OP.
I used BART pretty regularly when I lived in SF, particularly when I had to commute to Concord (far East Bay) for work. It would be just disastrous for BART to fail or to undergo some of the cuts they are considering.
My mom was definitely Team Roux as well. Iโm certain itโs part of what made her mac and cheese so good!
But now I wonder just how principled a stand WAS it really? Any SF politician who would come out against marriage equality would surely lose an election in the city.
Heck no, itโs not too much! ๐
Happy birthday! I too find myself ambivalent about leaving my house if I donโt have a reason I need to do so.
Tacos are a sign that God loves us and wants us to be happy! ๐ฎ
100%. I just refer to him as Putin's useful idiot.
Meme of Fully Automated Luxury Space Communism Now.
The sooner the better!
I mean what did they think they were even watching? Because Star Trek is pretty much fully automated luxury (sometimes gay) space communism!
And this same advice applies at every taqueria I have ever been to, not just Chipotle. ๐ฏ
Goodness! ๐ You're gonna need a *large* coffee after that! Might want to even add a shot of espresso.
My take: At the city level he was aligned with the Democratic machine that usually runs SF. At the state level I think he has benefitted from running against Republicans who are far too right-wing to win statewide.
Nope, you have it exactly right! Heโs been that way from the start of his political career in San Francisco up until now.
Agree with you. My brother is an excellent example - no 4 year degree, but heโs had a good career as a machinist and is no dummy. OTOH, Mullin is an idiot!
Yes, definitely! ๐ป
The upside is that it would raise the average Senate IQ by at least a few points, at least temporarily.
I could say the same about my parish as well. First Things seems to be just stuck in the 1970s in their mindset.
I would consider myself to be in the โreconstructionโ phase of my faith journey and am glad to be at a church where this is 100% supported.
What? There are reality TV Pentecostals now? I guess I miss out on these things by (mostly) not watching TV these days.
Mostly this thread is confirming my decision to become a vegetarian was a good one. ๐
I did not see this coming. But I like it!
