The toilets date from a time when women were much more likely to be at home, but mos def, we can correct that when we re-open these public facilities.
Pastor Jamal Bryant must've gotten a payment, and I hope he spends it well. Me, I don't spend anything at Target, and that's not changing unless Target changes.
On behalf of everyone in Seattle, goodbye & good riddance.
You'll find me as elsewhere as possible.
Far too reasonable.
Trump doesn't do reasonable.
Free-lance parking enforcement: Let anyone attend a brief training course and then be issued a pad of blank parking citations. Then set 'em loose to put the tickets on windshields and take a snapshot of the parking violation. Pay the ticket-writers a 20% commission on every ticket. Problem solved.
I was surprised a while back to learn that they were there. It's why I didn't go, so this seems like a smart move.
In any organization, big or small, corporate or non-profit, a worker making far less than $350K will have far more knowledge of the actual work being done, and better ideas for how to do that work more effectively and efficiently, than the highly-paid MBA in charge.
That's the most succinct and true post on the internet for 3/6/2026, thank you.
Where is this?
I'll never understand why there's free parking on *any* city streets. Land and asphalt are not free, and parking is not a god-given right.
Street parking should cost a reasonable monthly amount, which should go up annually, to encourage transit use.
Downloading now, on your say-so. Thanks!
The only valid reason for any Democrat to attend the State of the Union address is to disrupt it, or somehow challenge the spectacle. Anyone who attended *without* disruption or challenge is part of the problem β an asswipe, in other words.
"for the last 30 years"?
Oh my, you must be much older than I'd fantasβer, imagined.
The New York Times' headline is a flat-out lie.
Why was she there?
Why were *any* Democrats there?
That's solid. And this is permanent, right β not just for the World Cup?
Me too. Consider my comment withdrawn, and my morning & mood damaged.
Every lefty I know was turned off by Harris's incessant reaching-out to Republicans. Even middle-of-the-road friends who aren't overtly of the left expressed bafflement as she buddy-buddied with Liz Cheney. To me, it was a bigger red flag than her "everything's fine" patter on Gaza and the economy.
The signup and login requirement seems inconsistent, for me, anyway. OCLC demanded a login from me about a month ago, but stopped asking after about 12 hours, and hasn't asked since.
Just checked it out again, and I'm not logged in and having no problem.
Any chance you're on a VPN? I'm not...
Well, yeah, because the Republican Party *is* a Nazi problem.
Fuck the Olympics, fuck the US hockey team, of course fuck FBI Director Kash Patel, and especially fuck the soulless hockey player who slips his gold medal over Patel's head.
As is all of America.
I'm also kinda struck by yellow as the color for the longest route. My old man eyes could hardly see it, and for ten seconds I thought I'd have to walk from S-B-A to C-N-D.
Gosh, I hope that's not an unpopular opinion. Shops, restaurants, hotels, almost any small business that's not loud or polluting should be allowed anywhere.
Written and directed by Peter Hyams, and made *without* the cooperation
of NASA, this is actually one of my favorite B-movies of the 1970s.
That post didn't go where I'd expected!
Right on & rock on, sir!
Yup, exactly. The reporter might mislead you, or (more likely) might decide on a different angle as the day goes along.
Uh-oh & wtf?
