An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has approved a two-day physical remand of journalist Matiullah Jan and handed him over to the police. Meanwhile, journalists in capital will hold a protest outside National Press Club tonight, terming charges against their colleagues 'false'.
This is the second time Matiullah Jan was abducted. In Imran Khan’s government (2020), he was kidnapped in a broad daylight from outside his wife’s school in Islamabad and was released after over 12 hours in a deserted area in Fateh Jang.
