Ew! Definitely donβt take them to help you shop, then! Take your friends whoβll tell you which little crop top is in your color and which ones are trying to be cute but not quite making it

I realize that to people outside the PNW this is just an interesting news item, but if you're in the PNW, where tracking orca pods is a local religion, this is basically like being visited by alien gods
Whoa!
your vote is rarely the single decisive vote
but sometimes it is! and you never know when that might be
sara @sarasoci.al they/she transsexual: hey i'd like to take this harmless drug that makes life worth living america: fuck you *starts a world war*
This is so accurate
Look wake up this is serious. Chatbots are driving people insane. It's happening to people you don't think of as mad people. This is a serious danger of the technology that should majorly concern you. It's not safe for vulnerable people, & you don't want to find out the hard way that's you.
right, like, don't offer up tax cuts, gin people up about the fact that wealthy people pay way less in effective tax than the rest of us, and keep the fight there. don't voluntarily give up revenue ground.
My plan is to try the top down center out method next time to get the rise and hip shape right. Maybe thatβll work better than the βuhhhhhh, maybe itβs this seam that needs adjustingβ¦?β technique Iβve tried so far
Maybe the next pair will be the one
I take my sister with me bc sheβs great at honest feedback about what is and isnβt flattering, but also v clear that itβs the clothes that are failing to do their job
Iβm determined to learn how to make trousers that fit properly, but my first two attempts werenβt quite it
Whew, glad it went well and thanks for letting us know, I was watching for you!
Itβs offensive! βWould you accept money in lieu of a government that represented your values or tried to improve society somewhat?β Well, no, actually, I wouldnβt!
Ok. If I put on my gym clothes and throw a professional sweater on top, I can do the webinar and ditch those clothes before leaving home.
Gym bag needs workout stuff, overnight stuff, and anything Iβll need for game night.
Ski clothes go in the OTHER bag that Iβll pick up tomorrow.
Why do I keep setting myself up for situations where I have to pack a bag for a professional webinar, an aerial straps workout, a weekend date, game night, and skiing simultaneously?! (And whatever I pack has to be transportable on public transit)
I recently introduced myself to a gym friend Iβve known for years because she had a hoodie over her head and I didnβt recognize her
Just a thought: if *11* of yβall bought a Whole Store Ebook package from me, I could buy a new waffle iron. THIS one. WITH NINE INTERCHANGEABLE PLATES! π https://frifri.be/fr/produit/le-gaufrier-edition-webonly/
Iβve been a professional court interpreter for 16 years and I endorse this message
This is ultimately the thing.
There's a concept in disability justice called the dignity of risk: that we believe disabled people should have the right to *fail*. A lot of abled people look at disabled people and think they must be coddled and protected - it's a benevolent bigotry.
I have some regular ongoing gigs where I know everyone, but if I do 2-4 jobs a day and meet at least 2 strangers at each one (probably an underestimate tbh), those numbers add up. My job probably isnβt typical, but thereβs a data point for you
Could be! Iβm AuDHD myself and Iβve badly misjudged my share of social situations. Appearing friendly is a learnable skill, to a certain extent, but I know itβs complicatedβI still donβt love group interactions bc there are too many factors for me to keep track of, compared to 1-1 conversations
Iβm a Spanish interpreter, and itβs normal for me to meet half a dozen+ new people per weekdayβthe Spanish speaker (mostly different people each job) and their English-speaking lawyer/doctor/colleague (I know many local professionals but regularly meet new ones) plus staff at the appointments
When people actually think people are all terrible and rude and meanβ¦I start wondering about the common denominator in all those interactions. Itβs good to know a wide variety of people, even if (like me) you like to spend most of your time alone
I definitely joke about being a horrible misanthrope who hardly likes anyone, but Iβm actually just easily overwhelmed in social situations. Most people are pretty cool! I meet a lot of them and we mostly get along fine!

Ich hadde a joke about creacioun ex nihilo but it kynde of came from nowhere
I think theyβre talking about a policy wrt individual interpreter and translator workflows. Theyβre talking about problems members could use genAI to solve, but the tools donβt do the things they claim to do! You canβt use genAI to do your billing bc it doesnβt know what a number is!
Same, but I also find it infuriating that the same people whose only goal is supposedly βnumber go upβ are SO BAD at actually doing the things that would print them money. Like βYou keep saying you have one goal, then you ruin everything and donβt even maximize that goal!β
i mean it depends, shit is not inevitable,
but we need to elect people who are NOT trying to bring us back to normal, we need to elect people who are interested in (1) punishing the wrongdoing and (2) building something new and better than the status quo ante
But first Iβm going to the gym. If I fail at any aerial skills tonight Iβll probably just lie on the floor and cry
