When we will stop giving the power of life and death to people who do not take it seriously?
@csilverandgold
Don’t mind me just tracing the gyres. Talk about politics a lot but mostly want to talk about Stevie Wonder and August Wilson. She stay in the hills, he stay in Atlanta, I pay for them both.
When we will stop giving the power of life and death to people who do not take it seriously?
Already Renee Good, Alex Pretti, Ruben Ray Martinez, Keith Porter Jr., and dozens of people in immigration detention have been murdered because this useless old man wanted to feel powerful.
why?
Servicemembers of the United States armed forces will probably die because this useless old man in the White House wanted to feel powerful.
Like if cis people, particularly cis men, needed a medical intervention to remain cisgender and the government took it away we all know what would happen. To me this is no different. You can’t just bully people in an unlimited way.
Or at least Merely Morally Mediocre.
In absolute 100% seriousness i think violating the terms of service is a morally acceptable response to this.
They’re calling it the best-planned war of all time
I do think based on this you could teach an LLM to write good poetry, actually. None of the existing models are optimized for it but I think it’s doable. And on some spiritual level I am unbothered by this. You won’t run out of good poetry and maybe you’ll learn something along the way.
You put a thought into the little machine of the poem and it comes out the other side as a better thought with a little body made of words why is this not the only thing anybody ever does.
Oh I guess the Hulk, Jekyll and Hyde, and Marty McFly.
I was forced by poetry against my will to write depressing werewolf sonnets to sit next to my fun funny Disney villain sonnets. So far I have Don Draper, Walter White, any American police officer, Ilya Rozonov, Derek Hale, Ghost from Power sorta but really Jay-Z, and myself as werewolves. Who else?
What if I move back home and go to law school. I guess I don’t want to do evil law though.
I just don’t understand why the times is still putting out anti-trans hate pieces. Surely they get less clicks by the day. But I guess Jesse Singal needs a check and his buddies don’t want him to fail.
Every time I write a critique of the New York Time's coverage of transgender people, people always tell me, "submit a letter to the editor."
I have, multiple times.
I don't think people understand how averse the NYT is to publishing a trans person.
It's almost frustrating that people ask me to.
"Don't Forget Gaza and the Palestinians"
"Israel is using the illegal war on Iran to continue to kill and starve Gaza, steal more Palestinian land, and restrict movement in the West Bank, writes Diana Buttu for Zeteo. "Don't look away."
This puts me at 10 people released. I filed my 1st habeas petition 29 days ago. I am an incredibly small-time, nobody lawyer who knew nothing about immigration law the day I submitted that case. I barely know any more today. I had never sued the federal government and now I've beaten them 10 times.
Ahahahahahahahaha I'm gonna play this clip at Steve and Jared and Pete and Marco's trials.
It worries me that there aren't Democrats who are promising hearings (maybe I'm missing it) into what Elon Musk has done over the last three years to bring us to this disgraceful state, and the active welcoming of Nazism back into the public is one of his worst feats.
LEVERAGE appeals to the natural instinct to see the rich humbled and is the rightful entertainment of the revolution. in this essay I will
I mean it is no longer enough to support a family of three or four in luxury, but as a person who has generally been a similar boat, you can live quite comfortably.
Jay: Guys, please don't let "skeets" stick The experiment in decentralized naming decisions has resulted in the worst possible term How about skoots? Can we bring back skoots? Bluesky OGs, help me out here, remember skoots? 10:45 PM · Apr 27, 2023
Say what you will about Jay, but she is solely responsible for Bluesky posts being called skeets.
I hope if you have a moment to reflect you ask yourself if what you just said to me is actually what you feel about USAID, and if so, if that’s what a random person off the street would interpret your original words to mean.
I appreciate your fight for a better world.
Hey friend. Sorry you’re getting dogpiled. That isn’t fun. IMO if I were you I would just limit replies / turn off quotes / block a bunch of people, but I also get the vibe of posting through it. (Literally been there.)
And like, believing that abstract nouns are saving or destroying the world has motivated a lot of good shit from humans. But also a lot of bad. And the difference as to which generally rests upon the capacity to see the dignity and value of persons more clearly through one’s abstract lens vs less.
It is the same sort of value as “femininity” which, according to the worst people in the world, is at risk if we let people [transition | not have children | insert activity a conservative wants to stop and/or start a woman and/or uterus doing]
And like, don’t get me wrong, plenty of libs spent late 2023 and early 2024 saying absolutely depraved shit about Israel and Palestine to win arguments with the strangers in their phones. This sickness isn’t ideological.
This in response to the hundreds of thousands of people who have died as a result of Trump and Musk’s attack on USAID is clear evidence of the exact same kind of brain poisoning that produces, eg, JK Rowling. Winning an argument with the strangers in your phone becomes more important than human life
And! Yesterday I got two poems in a magazine that rejected me the same day they started considering me six months ago. So even if grad school can’t do the work for me, I must be doing the damn work for myself!
And also it really sucks not having much money after making good money for over a decade. But that’s life sometimes.
