With DVDs catching on again, it reminds me how incredible it was that we were able to produce them at home. I used to make my own jewel cases, menus, special features, commentaries, etc. Like imagine if back in the day the average person could print their own vinyl records. We were so lucky.

I genuinely wanted an egg salad sandwich for dinner today. From the grocery store. On brown bread. I couldn’t even wait to eat it when I got home. Sometimes I can’t explain myself to myself.
And I swear autocorrect, a basic feature of smartphones for like 15 years now, is less reliable than ever.
Two phones later and I’m not even sure what’s improved in terms of usability. Is facial recognition any faster or more secure than thumbprint? Camera’s better but I mostly use actual cameras for photography. Every new phone just feels like an obligation now instead of a cool new piece of tech.
Found my old iPhone X while packing and it felt so slim and comfortable, my thumb could easily reach across the screen without constantly having to reposition my hand. Had that phone for 5 years and it was already almost 2 years old when I got it. Peak smartphone, if I could keep using it I would.
This time I’m putting multiple such boxes in a bigger box in a self-deluded effort to convince myself I’ve consolidated the random stuff into one box.
Every time I move to a new place I fill a box with random stuff that I promise myself I’ll “deal with later” and never do.
I don’t just want to see movies that I want to see, I also want to see movies my friends want to see and I want to see them with them.

Haunted house mazes I would like to see:

Living in Vancouver there was virtually no difference upon exiting the theatre, save for the absence of Jared Leto which was an improvement.
You can get pretty much the same experience as Tron: Ares by putting on the NIN soundtrack and driving around the most boring parts of your city at night staring at the tail lights of other vehicles.

Agreed should really have leaned into its premise and become more isolated and desperate. I would’ve liked a longer arc returning home though…maybe they make it to the Beta Quadrant but get captured crossing Romulan space. Some escape and get a message out to the Federation. Something like that.
