After decades upon decades of racism, colourism & whitewashing in romcoms, RYE LANE surfaced with a breath of fresh air. Obvs it was the film I chose when asked along to the Made In England podcast. Listen up! 💖

also enjoyed how BBFC's '18 Strong Sex' rating reduced a cinema full of adults to a bunch of giggling teenagers. Deserved round of applause at the end tho. Sat night audiences are where the real ones are.

If what I dug most from BETTER MAN was the carnivalesque merriment & choreographed splendor of Rock DJ, I'm gonna have to cave & watch THE GREATEST SHOWMAN aren't I?

Just clocked that all the films directed by Nicole Holofcener are around the 90min mark & it's made me love her even more.
