All of Canada when they hear Bad Bunny give us a shout out π What a performance! #superbowl
HEY THEY SAID CANADA THATβS WHERE WEβRE FROM
(that was amazing)
Literally my same reaction π
That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.
Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they?
I would love for Rustad to sue over this and see what the courts would interpret incapacitation as. I would think it usually would refer to medical or functional incapacitation, and not really a loss of confidence. Would be fun!
Photo of a missing slice of cheesecake that looks like a cheesecake hull floating in a deep blue ocean. The "ocean" is actually the blueberry topping on the large cheesecake that we don't see completely.
All I saw was cheesecake boat and ocean for at least 5 minutes
I don't even have the words to describe the frustration I feel reading this response. I wouldn't have expected anything different, but regardless, it is disconcerting as fuck.
the CBC was founded as a bulwark against US cultural imperialism, to ensure we had canadian news and canadian culture.
there should be a renewed emphasis on that mandate, particularly to stop reporting so much on what happens in the US for eyeballs and ad dollars.
Wait no
anybody elseβs gyre feel wider lately
Hereβs the bottom line for whatβs going on with Grok - if the owner of the website is putting his thumb on the scale hard enough for the chatbot to turn into Goebbels, you should be deeply concerned about what heβs doing to the algorithm that you canβt so easily see, and what itβs doing to you
I thought they were kinda awful π
Always loved the people who are like, "But my ancestors came here the legal way!" and by that they mean they arrived via ratship to an island, a man asked them their name, they were like, "Uh, Jeff... Smith?" another guy said "sure?" and then they became permanent residents of the United States.
I understand your logic, but I think it is really misguided. It feels very much like a betrayal to the people who actually voted for you. Your vote on this is the same as what Colleen Hardwick's vote would have been. I know you did it because it was going to pass anyway, but symbolism matters.
I think BC 2017 still takes the cake since this riding doesn't actually make a difference to whom has overall plurality or a majority! LPC is getting close but this one riding isn't actually going to break it unless somehow there's more last-minute flips.
Arise, arise, geese of Canada! Ankles shall be bitten, skin shall be sundered, a winged-day, a red day, ere the sun rises!
Honk! Honk! Honk!
βAbolish ICEβ is the moderate position. Radical is βprosecute every ICE employee under RICO.β
if you didn't win the BMO marathon don't worry you can just run again in Alberta
Some facts about LPC performance under PM Mark Carneyβs leadership:
Largest vote total for any party ever
Largest LPC share of popular vote since 1980
Largest seat count in QC since 1980
Largest seat count in BC ever
Seats in every province
A mansion, dark green with yellow/beige trim
A baby-blue Rolls Royce SUV
If you're like most Vancouverites, you probably haven't walked through Shaughnessy in a long time, if ever. Come see what our laws are protecting, allegedly for your benefit, & find out how it got that way.
Walking tour this Saturday afternoon!

No he doesnβt. He canβt sit in parliament without a seat but he can still lead the party. If he does stay on likely theyβll ask an MP in a safe riding to step down so he can run there in a by election.
Oh wow, 300%. Thatβs terrible. That number should be much much higher.
It almost feels unfair how much more fundamentally likeable Carney is than Poilievre. The mother in me almost wants to give him some sort of head start in the debate. Like maybe Poilievre gets to wear a fun novelty sweatshirt.
Alberta, which is a smart movie because it's not like he doesn't already have enough support there. More Alberta votes will help him for sure.
meme of the elderly woman in Titanic - which says "it's been 10 years"
Is this Pierre?
Literally had the same thought! Heβs always given off short energy.
Fediverse post from @adapalmer@wandering.shop: "When facing the 'All we need is STEM!' approach to education, my usual response is: Developing the vaccine was the STEM problem; distribution & getting shots in arms was the Social Science problem; getting people to trust it & combatting misinformation was the Humanities problem - which did we fail?"
They donβt have to pass any laws to ban it. Just adjust the way Health Canada provides funding to provinces by adding in some new difficult regulations for abortion care. Theyβll do it and itβll be insidious.
only canadians will understand this
