I'm not on Kindle Unlimited, and it was still free for me.
I forgot that Amazon started allowing downloading ebooks again - I used my regular method to liberate it through more complicated means :D

Looking at the CSS, the paragraphs usually have a bottom margin of 0.2em. Ideally it should be 0. Sometimes it's defined in percentages instead. Image is from Amazon's preview.
Thanks! Comment from forums which I agree with, if you ever reformat the ebooks: Please remove the spacing between paragraphs. They're already identified by the indented first line.
@zenphospress.bsky.social Hi, Kobo is missing the first two books www.kobo.com/us/en/series...
What's going on in Israel re: propaganda, so ppl know:
Was talking to family there this AM & they had TV on. It was reported to me (w/eyeroll) that there was a segment on "what a tough masculine hottie" Hegseth is, "with the tattoos and everything."
"Did they mention the Nazi tattoo?"
"What?!?"

As Israeli and US forces damage 13 hospitals and 14 Red Crescent clinics in Iran this is what Belinson Hospital in Israel publishes.
The Pain Point – or why the Vimes Boots theory isn’t true
The Vimes Boots theory of unfairness is beloved of the internet and, for many reasons, it should be. In Men at Arms, he puts this into Vimes' head: "The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend…
The cover made me think of this noir sentient balloons story (the audio narration elevates the material)

Addicted to violence and dispossession. The deputy head of the Israeli Knesset and her husband dressed up for the Jewish holiday Purim as an executioner and as occupation, expulsion, and settlement.
“I was inside the hotel. They killed all our people. First they bombed once. I went inside. Then they bombed again.
They killed our children.”

There used to be a twitter bot that automatically posted these for random AGI engine rooms. I think it's gone now :(
James Randi has a chapter about it in Flim-Flam. The e-book is free web.randi.org/e-books.html

Here’s what we know: this isn’t about Iran’s people—it’s about oil, wealth, and power.
@emanabdelhadi.bsky.social lays out why this war has no mandate (and why de-escalation is the only way forward).
Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
A photo of a young woman in a black robe and headscarf and several monuments against a mountain landscape, from an analog photo album
I traveled across Iran in 2004 as a very young person. It's a beautiful country w/mountainous geography reminiscent of Colorado or Montana. Everywhere I went, people seemed eager to reassure me "we hate your government, not you." In our own hell, we are now experts at making that same distinction.
Nice touch with the 66 on the score track
In space, can anyone hear you choo-choo?
Piglet Delivers by Maria Haskins in issue 152 of Apex Magazine.
Story day! My story "Piglet Delivers" is now available to read online in Apex Magazine! I am so excited to share this strange story of my heart with the world. If you grew up with Milne's books about the Hundred Acre Wood, you might feel (somewhat) at home. www.apexbookcompany.com/a/blog/apex-...

Hani Mahmoud reports that since agreeing to the so called ceasefire Israel has killed over 600 people in Gaza, continues to bomb neighbourhoods & demolish houses, and is still limiting the amount of humanitarian aid that enters Gaza (including food, medical supplies and fuel)
@danthurot.bsky.social Hey, have you considered updating/replacing your wordpress theme so the website looks better on mobile phones? (The text is hard to read)

This book has the most scathing dedication by an illustrator I have ever seen (and he is completely right)
