On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the achievements, the progress, and the power of women everywhere.
But we also raise our voices - calling out the violence, inequality, and abuse that women and girls continue to face #InternationalWomensDay #IWD
These are some of the ways I have represented the region as an MSP this week...
I am calling on the Scottish Government to make sure that travel into our region and from our region is better quality in terms of the rolling stock, the carriages that we sit in, and the systems so that trains can run on time.
We need a much better investment in rail in the Highlands and Islands.
£2! We're capping bus fares across the Highlands and Islands. Shetland and Western Isles started January 30. Orkney starts March 9. Moray, Highlands and Argyll & Bute starts March 23. On May 7th vote Scottish Greens.

Great news for our island communities 💚
I’ve just come from the chamber where the Cabinet Secretary for Transport confirmed the end of seasonal peak fares for Shetland and Orkney islanders on NorthLink Ferries.
The childcare system is broken.
Properly funded childcare should not be a luxury!
The @scottishgreens.org want to see money kept in the pockets of parents across Scotland.
That is why we are pledging to make childcare more accessible and affordable sooner for families.

Their return is a testament to the patience, dedication and goodwill of so many people - the volunteers, the staff at Trees for Life, and crucially the local community and farmers who worked so constructively to make this happen.

Watching beavers return to Glen Affric was genuinely moving. These extraordinary animals were absent from our landscape for hundreds of years, this felt like we’re righting a historical wrong. The fact that we are here, and beavers are back in the glen, is down to everyone who refused to give up.

Glue traps are banned in Scotland from today.
But the Scottish Government still hasn't told industry or stakeholders how it will be enforced.
For legislation that took years to pass. Caught napping doesn't cover it.
Highlands and Islands communities fund and rely on our publicly owned airports.
They deserve to know when those airports are being used for foreign military operations — and to have a say.
No transparency. No consent. No accountability. I called for change.
Abolish the Monarchy.

Moray Firth communities aren't against offshore wind. They're asking reasonable questions about sea life, fishing, boat routes and tourism.
That deserves respect — not a process where millions of public money is spent before locals get any say.
Speed cannot replace trust.
They've raised your rent, increased energy prices, and stagnated your wages. The super-rich are exploiting the people of Scotland.
The same billionaires are now bankrolling Reform UK.
We need to tax the super-rich and return power to our communities. #VoteScottishGreens
It's time to evict Trump's troops from Scotland.
The US under Trump is increasingly becoming a rogue state, from invading Venezuela to threatening Greenland. Scotland must not be complicit in his crimes.
