Every week on a Wednesday at about 12.20 I say a quiet thank you that Keir Starmer is our PM. None more so than today.

very true, and the reason I stopped watching - I like Marina's clips of reasoned replies, which seem to be treated with derision by those with opposing views without any proper explanation or clear, truthful facts to contradict. Marina is very good at debunking, but the target audience are blinkered
Well said! Nobody wants this war. Everyone in their right mind knows the reasons behind this. Israeli expansion backed by a convicted felon trying to distract the world from Epstein. 😡😢
The ‘special relationship’ was never a true relationship, it was always one sided in Americas favour. Now it’s gone from poodle Blair following Dubbya into Iraq, and now it’s an abusive relationship with a narcissistic orange man baby ordering the PM around and undermining him at every opportunity.
He’s only there to lend a “facade” of propriety to right wing propaganda. I mean what sort of stupid fucking question is that; “Has Starmer let Trump down?” It’s something a sycophantic cretin would write, hoping to rile up Daily Express reading pensioners to nod furiously in agreement.
I cannot watch the Jeremy Vine show with his deliberately politically weighted subjects designed to cause further division, right wing / fascist comments by some of the callers - and guests, are treated with a concerned look by him at the viewers but no proper factual rebuttal...
I can’t stand listening to him either. He has such an irritating way of speaking.
Yes Britain needs to stand with Spain for gods sake
Which is why Labour should have arrived with a Leveson 2 to take the lies & misinformation out of our news media. Truth & UK's best interests vs overseas tax dodging, historical fascists like the Rothermere's was a winnable argument.
I was shocked by the "Starmer is letting down America" line of the Daily Mail and Daily Express, and it takes a lot to shock in 2026. It is a completely contrived sentiment, based on the imperative "Find out what Starmer is doing and mock it".
I wasn’t shocked by it at all. I’d have been shocked if they had supported Starmer. They aren’t newspapers they’re propaganda sheets with no independence editorially.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD…
Can we STOP with this ‘special relationship’ BS
And also…can we wake up to the treachery of our right wing press?!
I'm just having the UK comprehensive school system Yanksplained to me on Reddit.
"Nobody leaves school at 16!"
"ARE YOU SURE, THOUGH?"
Christ on a bike, sit down and SHUT UP.
Yup.
This is what the elite wanted.
Reminder, Farage is not on your side, he wants to charge you to access the NHS.

Anyone find it interesting that not so many weeks ago, President Orange Shits Himself was implying that NATO Allies that supported the US in Afghanistan “weren’t on the front lines” is now crying that we aren’t running to his aid in yet another US illegitimate war? 🤔 Anyone?
Screenshot of an X post by Senator Tom Cotton saying Iran has been an imminent threat to the United States for 47 years and that the president was right to act. Below is a Fox News segment with Cotton speaking while footage labeled “U.S. Central Command – Unclassified” shows a strike.
“Imminent.” You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
FT comments section this morning - saying what everyone else is thinking, right?

I, for one, am surprised that a bunch of terminally online meth heads led by a dementia patient don’t appear to have a coherent strategy for a war started to distract everyone from the administration’s cratering domestic popularity
Something I wrote a few years back pieriaview.blogspot.com/2022/08/gett...
No discipline, no foresight, no concept of chain of consequences, no capacity to plan, no settled idea of desired end state, just endless rolling crises precipitated by the centre. That’s all the analysis I have for this moment in history.
Kemi is the gift that keeps on giving. Full of dumb spite and entitlement. The end point of Thatcherism.
Which leaves unpalatable truths on table: Lib Dem’s potentially hold a balance of power & don’t realise it.
Greens are suddenly much more contentious but I have doubts about overall.
Labour have a majority they badly need to work on reinforcing on a terrible climate.
I don’t now think Tory party will do a pact with reform because I simply don’t think reform needs it. Why bother sharing lunch when you can just eat the buffet?
The Tory party is dead: no doubt about it. It’ll stagger to next election before becoming the weird political midget party that the Lib Dem’s became for a while after buddying with Tory party.
You cannot underestimate how bad a scenario we have heading towards us next general election. We have a broad media messaging telling us everything is awful. We have an economy that teeters.
The ground is ripe for disaffected voting with divisions on all sides & fragmentation of voting.
