Got my potatoes and onions in the ground.
If you have the means/ability/space to grow some of your own food, do it.
The world is on fire. And things are hard.
Don't be the person who pisses in someone's cornflakes and then tells them it's raining.
Don't swipe at someone for existing or finding joy or being silly.
We need levity and care and snuggles and sweetness.
We need music and poetry and pet photos.
Don't forget to create something today.

Keep handwritten accounts of what is happening from your perspective.
I think a lot about how communication worked in the far past. Letters sent to friends. Pamphlets printed at independent printers and distributed independently.
Past me thought it would be a good idea to challenge myself to write 28 short stories next month. I'm currently making a list of story ideas so future me will be all set.

It kept me going when a serious back injury took away my livelihood. I think it's ok to let ourselves grieve a bit.

My word of the year is 'change'. I want so many things to change this year and it has to start personally.
My youngest child is reading the first Harry Potter. ๐ฅฐ
Art class should never stop being a thing. Like if right after lunch we all got to go down to the basement for an hour, throw on a smock, and make collages out of old magazines while somebody's eccentric, slightly witchy aunt tells us how great we're doing, I feel like we'd all be in a better place.

I use prompts to get into the heads of my characters or if I feel 'stuck' on something. Anywho, have a great Sunday.

4)An elderly character shares a tale of the one holiday season they will never forget.
5) A single parent wakes up and finds a mysterious spacecraft in their yard.
6) A mysterious glowing snow covers a small town overnight.
