Thank you for calling it in! I normally scoff and get on my way

True! Maybe itβs just about closing the stations early then?
There will still be 4 trains going northbound from Federal Way! The question is just if they make stops and the stations stay open
Can passengers also ride?
Bus bulbs (the last picture) also make the bus much faster as it doesnβt have to merge back into traffic after pulling over to the curb
Katie Wilson has made multiple comments about wanting a countywide transit measure and Seattle can fulfill their existing obligations without going to voters.
Seems like Zahilay just doesnβt care about suburban bus service?
Yea same. Itβs mostly because we just donβt have greenway standards like Vancouver
Yea at least itβs possible I suppose. The carriage house setup is still a huge upgrade from townhomes too
Greenways are way more pleasant than PBLs imo tho but point taken.
Vancouver BC has totally mastered them. Theyβd make 26th alternating one ways and add modal filters to get the traffic volumes low.
Obviously side setbacks are an impediment to this but do you think without them, this is the typology weβd get? Or will it just be bigger 3 story buildings?
Do you think parking like this will pencil?
When Seattle added tolls to our 520 bridge, volumes reduced 40%
Would the proposed diverter at genese even solve this?
Also is this normal or just because of the 1st Ave bridge being closed this week?
Iceland does it and their erupts all the time
I need a filter for βfits on the Amtrak cascadesβ
How is it less equitable? The people that live in Columbia city donβt need to drive to Columbia city
Ms. Hidalgo felt compelled to reiterate that the decision to install a tram...had long been made rather than reopen the Petite Ceinture: "It must be acknowledged that the Petite Ceinture often runs right next to homes, and I do not want to impose on residents...a location with intense rail activity"
We need a YIMBY movement for transit construction
BRING THEM TO SEATTLE!
More doors = faster boarding and faster buses mean frequent buses!
The WA GOP should break away from the national party and rebrand
I thought you were talking about an act that commits us to the climate lol
There are definitely a number of things drivers can do if they're running early
If youβre pushing housing in lowrise nβhoods, eliminating useless sideyards is the unlock for the urban design everybody says they want.
In exchange for sideyards that no one uses, you get better units, lush interior courtyards, space for trees and play, higher density and lower energy use.
A very difficult read
What wonderful ideas!
Reading "Implementation of ZΓΌrichβs Transit Priority Program" and love that city staff drove buses to understand the operations of them better!

Tree Action Seattle is proposing a number of amendments to Phase 2 of the Comprehensive Plan (upzoning of neighborhood centers).
One amendment would allow the existing amenity area requirement to be fulfilled by *depaving* nearby streets/parking parking.
Yea never is a bit strong. Just saying the things to be defensive against are totally different
Seems like AVs are doing good at avoiding things humans do (speeding, running red lights, breaking the law) but also have new problems human drivers never get into that the system is not built to be defensive against (blocking roads, passing school buses, driving against a one way, etc)
Excited to finally get this parkland back
