If anyone needs a devastating book rec, I read After hours at dooryard Books by Cat Sebastian. Its set in 1968 NYC and the main character is a gay bookseller and there is found family and learning to come out and it was devastating. I cried, a lot.

Health scares of any kind are scary as a parent so I imagine as a caregiver a situation like that would be traumatic. I feel for you for having to deal with that without the parents.

I'm so excited for the weekend. My parents are taking the kids for the weekend and I get to go on a valentine's friend date to a local tea place and have heart shaped pastries.

It was a really neat class. My friend asked me to take it with her and I needed that extra non major liberal arts credit. We learned about the philanthropic practices of various faith traditions.

I very much relate to you on the dissonance. My parents voted for trump for the anti-abortion aspect. But then I'll talk to my mom about maternal mortality rates and shes in agreement women need better but she doesnt put it together that abortion laws and maternal health go together.
