In the middle of the movie, I looked up Agnes thinking her voice was familiar, saw that it was Flay's VA and legit thought it was going to be some contrived story about her being a clone of Flay to steal Kira away while Lacus was getting NTR'd.

Nope, she was just jelly.

Visually, it was fine, great even.

It's just the story... Numerous minor story arcs that are just sloppily executed: Athrun being a Gary Stu, everything about Agnes, Ingrid and why she was just crying for seemingly no reason for the first half of the movie.

I finally sat down and watched Gundam Seed Freedom.
Holy shit do I want 2 hours of my life back...

Seed one of the first whole Gundam series that I watched from beginning to end. Yeah, it wasn't great and I can see even more of that now that I've consumed even more Gundam, but that movie.
