I am British and grumpy. Tories, Brexit and most other things make me grumpy. I am a ridiculous blue rectangle in a silly green hat and I demand that you take me seriously! Born 1970s. Unable to age verify. danielrigal.co.uk @DanielRigal@mastodon.social

Maybe Adelaide should write to him, suggesting that they meet to discuss "the trans issue". That might get you into the building, for a couple of minutes anyway.
How old are these people? I ask because this sort of logic was fairly common among 12 year-olds when I was at school in the 1980s. They didn't understand gayness so they equated it with femininity, which they assumed was contagious and could be caught by associating with girls.
goddamn is this a breath of fresh air after Allred 2024

Microsoft manager: We need a proprietary protocol to replicate the functionality of SNMP. Microsoft engineer: Great idea! Everybody hates SNMP. Anything we come up with has to be better. Microsoft manager: Sure, but first we must replicate the many virtues of SNMP...

Notice how the BBC has to walk a tightrope when reporting this. They can explain that this is all bullshit but they can't explain how this bullshit is part and parcel with anti-trans bullshit more generally because the BBC is up to its eyeballs in that stuff and has enthusiastically legitimised it.
Not only are Reform cynical and malicious liars, they are too pigshit thick to even invent a new lie. This is an old lie that they got off the Americans. (It wasn't true there either.)

I would say that in retrospect Microsoft's Clippy wasn't so bad. He gave some pretty great tips on how to write a memo. He didn't destroy the environment by consuming more energy than most countries. He didn't help bomb any countries.
All in all, C- to B+ range, realistically.
That's not just a comedy bit. YouTube has been known to age restrict, hide or remove videos for not doing this. Given that bad faith reporting is a big problem on YouTube it was the sensible thing to do. If it also draws attention to the ridiculousness of the situation then that's a bonus.
maybe I'm focusing on the wrong thing here but this is the wildest shit I've ever heard a white South African say and I study racism for a living
Ed Davey should change his name to Cassandra because he keeps saying things which are correct and nobody ever takes any notice of him.

Musk is bullshitting again. His robots are fake. Hyperloop is just an expensive hole in the ground. He complains that people take him "too literally" when he lies to investors. Of course, launching a million satellites would be disastrous but he can't actually do it.

I can exclusively reveal that Trump called Starmer a "very bad nasty poopyhead" and that Starmer enthusiasticly replied "Thank you sir."

I've sat through enough Seders to know that you don't laugh when the Egyptians drown and you certainly don't drown their children and then lie about it.
To stoop to answer the disgusting point, NO, just because the other side are violent criminals does not mean that you can ignore the law and just murder their children. Israel knows this. They gave Eichmann a fair trial. Law matters. Being the people that don't murder children matters!
This barely deserves the dignity of being called gaslighting. Gasshiteing maybe?

Starmer's attempt to play both sides has failed. He tried to look tough on Trump, but failed to condemn the illegal attack.
Then he let US bombers pit stop here.
He's dragged us into the war, and still managed to damage our reputation with the USA in the process.
I think this will end in a tribunal into Crimes Against Humanity. Starmer, Streeting and the rest should expect long prison sentences.
The law on this stuff is quite clear. The law has not been changed. They don't have the guts to do the Nuremberg Laws. Instead they bend and break the law by abusing Statutory Instruments and corrupting the courts, lying about what they are doing with one face and gloating about it with the other.
Can I add criminally to the list?
Not only did the US, per its own βintelligence,β bomb this girls primary school, THEY BOMBED IT TWICE.

The intention seems to be to say "Pssst. Be careful. Not everything you see on the BBC News is true. But you didn't hear it from me. OK?"
"Could you spot one?" is arguably #QTWTAIN although I think we can all imagine what a pink daffodil might look like, i.e. several variants of not like that.
Every so often the BBC runs a story so stupid it has to be intentional. Here we have a story about "rare pink daffodils" with a picture of a perfectly ordinary yellow and white one.

Sooner or later the penny has to drop with Starmer. There is no appeasing fascism so there is no point in trying. There is no middle path and the "third way" was fascism in the first place. He needs to stop trying to negotiate over which of their hoops he will jump through and tell them to fuck off.
Finally some good news for Starmer. Blair thinks he's a twat for not doing enough war crimes. I mean, if both Trump and Blair think you're a twat then you must be doing something right? Right? Well, obviously not but, even so, it's got to be better than the alternative?
This seems pretty savage but if you check out what he said to incur her ire you will see that it is neither incorrect nor undeserved.
