New in FirstView:

Waisanen & Becker push back on conflict profiteers. Americans are far less polarised than media often suggests.

Celestino flips the script on Mexico's democratic decline. Morena's illiberal turn isn't the *cause* of the crisis. It's the *consequence* of a democratization that was always more procedural than substantive.

To renew democracy, study it holistically.

Draw on five sources: individual people, groups, non-textual media, texts, and non-humans.

Do this across cultures, languages, and species to uncover unfamiliar practices beyond Western views.

Our readers are talking about the 'Fourth Theorist' of democracy.

This person is yet to exist.

They will be the first to theorize from thousands of practices and millions of texts/other on democracy.

Is this a type of theorist we want/need?
