24 written comic pages, 50 film script pages, and 100 hours at the day job in two weeks means that I get to buy myself a toy.
Maybe it’s time to complete my Universal Monsters/Turtles collab collection with these guys.

have you checked out Something Beyond the Petrichor yet? Releasing with #Red5comics this spring in your #LCS
Dude, you got it wrong. There’s a 1 and a 3 in the date. It’s John Carpenter’s “Halloween” Day, because Halloween is the 31st. Duh.
Temporarily shelved pitch time!

The real “Dakota Incident” will be when @dc.com hires me to write a single issue and it leads to a longstanding creative relationship. I doubt that would get its own History of the DC Universe one shot, though.
Shares appreciated!
Issue 2 of Something Beyond the Petrichor is back in comic stores on February 11th!
Find out what’s next for Jocelyn and her talking stuffed turtle Quigley after surviving an encounter with a Bible Belt cryptid.
With #marvel and @dc.com making big shifts, it’s a great time to remind the comic-sphere that I’m open and available for work. I’m an award-winning graphic novelist whose newest release is getting a hugely positive critical response. Publishers, I’d love to work on your IP!
…and I’m so sorry.

Winnie the Pooh loves honey and hates a police state.
My son’s new Duplo set wants to remind you that midterms aren’t far away.
It’s starts with stoking fear and promising safety. And in that manufactured safety, fascism stands shoulder to shoulder with us, unmasked and welcomed.
Again, I’m a child of the early 90s, so I’ll share a great quote: No Fear.
Growing up in the 80s and early 90s, I never understood the over-the-top villains on TV who had the confidence to call themselves “evil” or “bad”.
But it’s become apparent in the last decade or so that villains get to oppress because they convince the people that they enjoy being oppressed.
some panels from Something Beyond the Petrichor #1 re-launching in comic stores January 15th!! So ask your #LCS for it if they don't already carry Red 5 Comics pretty please 🥹
They can search the Lunar disto catalogue for the title! Simple as that ;)

"Something Beyond the Petrichor" is about a lot of things. It stars a young woman and her talking stuffed turtle travelling a landscape destroyed by acid rain and full of monsters, but is truly about one thing: finding your place in a world you didn't build.

Leslie Jordan (R.I.P.) spoke at the graduation of my theatre conservatory class and made me touch his Emmy. The award had broken in half after years of making people touch it.
(He was genuinely as sweet and funny as he appeared to be on tv and in interviews.)
Happy Ea’s Day to all!
