You just know if you make it 50/50 itβll be complained about as biased.
β¦ just so they have a legitimate target. I see this enough with people finding a justifiable reason to dog pile a trans woman over something mild then ignore all the major issues from cis folk in the replies. Hard not to feel like people donβt want to explore their own bigotries, but get a pass.
I think you did throw gas on the fire, but like, Iβll say itβs kinda understandable for us all to be on edge. Still, this did overblow, and I donβt think anything said originally in this post or our responses were particularly out there. Itβs a regular issue of people standing for somethingβ¦
Iβve seen many proud leftists spout trans rights loud on their platforms as they attack some random enemy of theirs, but are very happy to stomp your throat if you make a point that they could improve on. People like a fight, and thatβs kinda being shown here too.
Like, this is a common complaint with liberals. They will speak up on a problem when they get a chance to go after a Republican, but can just as quickly drop problematic language if one of those said communities say theyβre making a mistake themselves. And it really isnβt just liberals that do it.
Iβm gonna be honest, I donβt know what set you off here. Like, fair weather allies has been a common trend Iβve seen for decades over. I think itβs a fair gripe to have, especially as we get frustrated with the whiplash of being thrown up and off the pedestal repeatedly.
People do love having a valid opportunity to treat someone like shit. Itβs not just trans issues that do this, but we were a long running flavor of justice that lost popularity.
I have 13 volumes of an 18 volume manga I got in a humble bundle and now am on the last chapter I have and itβs probably my favorite in years and Iβm sad itβs gonna end and not even be conclusive :(
Even suckier is the anime adaption is one of the worst adaptions Iβve seen >_<
I unironically loved it growing up. I need to watch it again and see if I still love it.
I mean, anyone can write, but no oneβs gonna read your shit if youβre not good at it lol
Itβs because they think less of writing. Itβs not that different from how AI bros act with art. Itβs a lesser field, anyone can do it, why should I respect those that have done something I can do literally on my phone?
Hehβ¦ I have a friend pushing a light novel series on me and isnβt really appreciating my βthis feels like itβs written like a script. Thereβs no detail, I have no clue what anything in this world is like despite being in it for 20+ hoursβ. I get why theyβre called βlightβ. Potato chip books.
I mean, thatβs been a big issue with books Iβve read. A story can be good and yet written in the most dull way, and it can make it an absolute slog to get through even if youβre wanting to enjoy it. Meanwhile, a well written story can have a simple premise and carry you by its wording.
Itβs crazy how many people think they can just do any form of art without being privy to what others are doing with it. Itβs really insulting to whatever medium theyβre supposedly interested in pursuing.
Ugh⦠my husband is right and I need to just get over all those inherited hang ups and get on the damn pills.
New horrors on the way for trans adults in the UK... (When they did a similar review for trans teens, they threw out 97% of all studies and then basically went "wow, there's not any research to demonstrate this if effective; guess we gotta ban it.") Now it looks like they're doing same for adults.
I mean, those external events often become internal tho. Iβm just saying I donβt like a power that can be taken from you. Super soldier serum? Fine. Utilizing chakra abilities? Uh huh. Having a suit that clomps on you? Meh.
That said, I WOULD take being a magical girl cause magical girls rule.
A brown bunny hides its head behind a blue package with a tiger image on it.
True. But I mean, not every mecha Iβve seen takes itself seriously. Some are very silly.
And god I hate the realism argument. Like, nothing in film is realistic, just cause life and reality tends not to have a plot. Itβs just things happening in a disordered fashion with no clear conclusion or meaning.
I never got the appeal of mecha, despite enjoying many anime with mecha in em. Super powers always seemed way more appealing just as it being an ability from within and not something granted to you through a machine. Regardless, these are never the things that make me obsess over something.
βReally subverts expectations. 9.8/10β

Steve-O was on Joe Rogan's show trying to defend trans people and Rogan went off, he called trans people "fucking perverts" and "mass shooters" who have done the majority of school shootings.
Completely unhinged bigotry paid for by your Spotify subscriptions.
Itβs funny how they can solve all love triangles by going poly, and so few shows realize it.
Kashimashi. I honestly canβt say if it was actually good. I remember the premise, the character designs, and not much more. It was the first Yuri i think I got into. I stumbled upon my DVDs and the manga when I was packing for my move, but thatβs still all in America. Hopefully soon >_<
Was it good? Itβs been so long, and my dvds and manga are in America right now. I know I had some bad taste back then lol
I remember really loving a Yuri that was about a boy waking up as a girl and then having a love triangle with her two friends who were both lesbians and ridiculously stoked about her transformation, and strangely none of my male weeb friends liked it as much as me. I wonder why.

Hey so like... yeah... no... this is fucking horrible.
Itβs so depressing how bland all his women are written because their designs are absolute fire. They have so much potential too! Sakura clearly was supposed to be equivalent like the legendary Sannin! She was literally trained by Tsunade! She had perfect chakra control as a CHILD. Gah!
