I was watching a video about Smash Bros that was uploaded 2 days ago, and I started having deja vu. But then it just didn't stop. For 15 seconds, everything was weird. The video, my thoughts, and even looking away from my phone, all of it was part of the deja vu.
Well, I just had a solid 15 seconds of deja vu.

Yesterday was the last post about stuff I've already finished. Today I started work on the 3rd planet Terra, a lot of work still needs to be done though. I'm not sure how I'll do land generation yet, right now I have a temporary system that just sets random tiles to land, but idk.
Also, because Im showing this game off more, I made a background and some camera features.

This is Ares, the second, and most recently implemented, planet in the Soul system. This is where you get access to fuel production and research, making it an important step in progression. This planet has unusual weather patterns, with its periodic globe spanning dust storms.
Daily dev log 2:
This is Hermes, the first planet in the Soul system, and the tutorial world for this game. Ignore that it's just a grey ball, I'm not focusing on art yet.
From rampant storms to acid rain to building in the clouds to interplanetary logistics, every planet brings its own challenges. Who cares if there's already people living there, THE SWARM MUST GROW!
Daily Dev Log 1:
This is a game that I am currently calling SWARM Inc. Im not entirely sure what genre this is, Automation Colony Sim? Sure, let's go with that. You play as a swarm of robots taking over the Soul system. You go from planet to planet mining them for all their worth.
Also, I'm saying this before I go to bed, but I always have multiple projects at any given time, and one of those is near done. I'll talk about that one in about a week.
I've been meaning to do this for a few days now, but tomorrow, I think I will start doing daily dev logs for my current main game project. All the art right now is VERY temporary, but it is good enough to showcase.
I think part of the reason people call themselves “content creators” is insecurity. The term comes with bare minimum expectations. If you give yourself a “real” label (comedian, actor, photographer, documentarian, etc), you’re inviting a higher level of scrutiny.
Fair enough.
I need to backup everything right now because if a tornado destroys my computer, I will riot.
